    • A fuel control system for use in supplying gaseous fuel from a high pressure source to an internal combustion engine which has an airlfuel intake through which air and gaseous fuel is supplied to the engine and an airlfuel intake manifold in which variations in the vacuum are indicative of engine loading conditions. The system comprises; a pressure regulator, a flow control valve, a control for measuring the speed of the engine, a modulator for modulating the fuel supply and a pressure control device communicating with said pressure regulator to increase or decrease the pressure in the gaseous fuel output in response to the receipt of a signal from the modulator. The a pressure regulator receives pressurized gaseous fuel from the source and serves to maintain a constant pressure in the discharging fuel for a given engine speed regardless of flow rate and to increase or decrease the pressure in the discharging gaseous fuel in response to an increase or decrease in engine speed. The flow control valve is operable to control the flow of gaseous fuel in response to engine loading conditions regardless of engine speed. The modulator communicates with the output from the pressure regulator to measure the pressure of the fuel supply to the flow control valve. The modulator also communicates with the control means and cooperates therewith to generate a signal which is indicative of an undesirably low pressure or a signal which is indicative of an undesirably high pressure and one or other of these signals is communicated to the control. The pressure control communicates with said pressure regulator to increase or decrease the pressure in the gaseous fuel output in response to the receipt of one or other of said signals.
      In a diesel engine, the improvement of a fuel control system for use in providing a timed supply of gaseous fuel from a high pressure source to each air input. The control system comprises a flow control valve associated with each air input, the flow control valve being adapted to open to communicate with its associated air input and to close to interrupt communication with its associated air input. A fuel supply system is provided for supplying gaseous fuel under pressure to each flow control valve. A sensor is provided for determining when diesel fuel is being injected into each cylinder and generating a control signal which indicates when fuel injection occurs and communicates the control signal to the fuel control valve associated with the cylinder which is next in the firing order to that receiving diesel fuel such that the control signal is effective to open said flow control to admit gaseous fuel to the input air of said cylinder which is next in firing order.

    • Es wird eine Vorrichtung zur Einblasung von Flüssiggas in das Saugrohr einer Brennkraftmaschine vorgeschlagen. Die Vorrichtung umfaßt ein Verdampfer-Druckregelventil (40), stromabwärts dessen ein Zumeßventil (10) mit einem Zumeßkolben (14) vorgesehen ist, der in einer Führungsbohrung (25) bewegbar eine Zumeßöffnung (29) mehr oder weniger öffnet. Die Verstellung des Zumeßkolbens (14) erfolgt in Abhängigkeit von der durch die Brennkraftmaschine angesaugten Luftmenge mittels eines Luftmeßorganes (3), wodurch eine der angesaugten Luftmenge entsprechende Flüssiggasmenge zumeßbar ist. Das Flüssiggas-Luft-Gemisch ist beeinflußbar durch einen in einem Steuerraum (49) des Verdampfer-Druckregelventiles (40) herrschenden Steuerdruck, der durch ein Steuerdruckregelventil (57) beeinflußt wird und an dessen beweglichem Ventilteil (59) einerseits der Saugrohrdruck stromaufwärts des Luftmeßorganes (3) und andererseits über eine Drossel (65) gekoppelt der Steuerdruck und eine Regelfeder (63) angreifen und zu dessen Ventilsitz (62) eine Unterdruckleitung (64) vom Saug. rohr (7) von stromabwärts einer Drosselklappe (6) führt.
