Nach der Erfindung ist der prismatische Reflexionskörper (19) mit seinen Reflexionsflächen (20, 21) im aufsteigenden Sprüharm-Zuflussrohr (9, 10) in Höhe des Spülbehälter-Sicherheitsniveaus angeordnet. Durch die vorteilhafte Anordnung des prismatischen Reflexionskörpers (19) im aufsteigenden Sprüharm-Zuflussrohr (9, 10) kann eine Überlaufsicherung einfach realisiert werden. Eine Verschmutzung der Überlaufsicherung bzw. der Reflexionsflächen (20, 21) des transparenten Prismas ist nicht zu erwarten, weil das Sprüharm-Zuflussrohr (9, 10) mit dem Sensor im Spülbetrieb der Geschirrspülmaschine (1) ständig durchflutet wird.
