摘要： The invention relates to a method for determining a retransmission mode of a retransmission protocol for data transmissions provided to a communication terminal. Furthermore, the invention relates to the operation of the communication terminal, e.g. a user equipment or relay node, to perform such method, as well as a Node B cooperating with the communication terminal. The invention is inter alia applicable to a 3GPP LTE-A system as standardized by the 3 rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). In order to suggest a mechanism for determining or dynamically configuring a retransmission mode of a retransmission protocol, the invention suggests a control message format that allows a dynamic signaling of the retransmission mode of a retransmission protocol. The control message is designed to comprise a field that can indicate a plurality of different codepoints. The codepoints are divided into at least two subsets, wherein the codepoints of each subset indicate a respective retransmission mode.

摘要： An ARQ retransmission method in a communication system, wherein data packets comprising modulation symbols are retransmitted based on an automatic repeat request and subsequently combined with previously received data packets, the symbols of said data packets being modulated by a mapping unit employing a predetermined signal constellation. The retransmitted data packets being retransmitted in form of a selected one of a plurality of different redundancy versions. According to the invention, the bits to be transmitted are reordered prior to modulation over the retransmissions in accordance with the selected redundancy version.

In order to suggest another improved scheme for configuring control channels, in particular control channels related to the transmission of user data the invention suggests aligning the size of the control channel information of different formats to an equal number of coded control channel information bits and/or modulation symbols for each control channel. The control channels may comprise scheduling related control information. According to another aspect of the invention, a more flexible solution is proposed that may allow for taking different geometries of mobile stations within a cell into account. Similar to the aspect above, the size of the control channel information is aligned by means of modulation and/or coding, however the control channel information is aligned to one out of a set of numbers of coded control channel information bits and/or modulation symbols for each control channel.
