摘要： An electrical cable is described which comprises a first strand, a second strand, and a third strand braided together. The first and second strands are electrically conductive and electrically insulated from each other, and the third strand is electrically non-conductive. The geometry imparted to the conductive strands by the braided configuration results in the cable exhibiting improved noise rejection, lower inductance per unit length, reduced signal attenuation and reduced resistance compared with equivalent cables comprising twisted or parallel pairs of conductive strands. The cable is particularly suited to audio, video and computer applications. Cables comprising larger numbers of strands braided together, and multilayer cables are also described.

摘要： A transmission line cable for high speed digital electronic signals includes a side by side pair of drain and signal wires each including a central conductor enclosed in a jacket. The signal wire jacket is formed of electrically insulating material while the drain wire jacket is formed of electrically semi-conductive material.
