Zur Lösung der Aufgabe wird eine mit Klebstoff beschichtete Streckfolie für die Isolierung, Dämmung oder Abdichten bei einem Gebäude verwendet und dabei zumindest teilweise gedehnt. Die Folie kann wenigstens um wenigstens 100%, besonders bevorzugt um wenigstens 200% in wenigstens eine Richtung, vorzugsweise in beide Raumrichtungen plastisch gedehnt werden, ohne zu zerreißen. Es ist also möglich, die Folie mit dem Klebstoff so zu dehnen, dass dieser Verbund anschließend im Fall der 100% plastischen Dehnbarkeit doppelt so lang ist und in diesem gedehnten Zustand verbleibt.
