摘要： The invention relates to a two-stage clocked electronic energy converter (20) for converting an electric power, comprising a first connection (38, 40) for connecting an electrical energy source, a second connection (42, 44) for connecting a consumer (46) and a DC link capacitor (28), wherein a first stage (1) of the two-stage clocked electronic energy converter (20) has a first converter in the boost operating mode which converts an electric voltage at the first connection (38, 40) into an electric DC link voltage at the DC link capacitor (28), and wherein the DC link capacitor (28) supplies a second stage (2) of the two-stage clocked electronic energy converter (20), said second stage supplying electrical energy to the consumer (46) in power-controllable fashion. In accordance with the invention, the energy converter has a control unit which is designed to set the power drawn from the DC link capacitor (28) by the second stage (2) such that an instantaneous minimum of the DC link voltage, which instantaneous minimum is effected by the power consumption, is greater than a preset voltage comparison value (50, 54).

摘要： The present disclosure provides techniques for power factor correction on a constant current system without the use of a diode rectifier bridge. In an example embodiment, the present disclosure provides a power factor correction circuit which includes two switching MOSFETs biased in opposite directions which operate during opposite half cycles of the input current. The power factor correction circuit generates an input voltage to match the phase of the input current. The input voltage is generated via charging and draining of an input capacitor by the MOSFETs. The MOSFETs are driven on a duty cycle synchronously associated with the input current waveform.

摘要： A control method and system are provided for regulating operation of power factor correction rectifiers based on the non-symmetric boost converter topology. Control of both the front-end stage is enabled taking sinusoidal current from the utility network and a downstream converter providing isolated DC output voltage. Also provided are a method and system for reducing volume of reactive components in boost-based rectifiers with power factor correction. Flux density through the inductor is reduced with a biasing inductor current having a much lower frequency than the switching frequency of the converter.
