摘要： A method of filtering contaminants from a fluid is disclosed. A feedstream of fluid containing contaminants is directed into a filter chamber containing a filter element. Part of the feedstream fluid flows in one of: a forward flow direction where it passes in a first direction through a wall of the filter element; and a reverse flow direction where it passes in a second, opposite direction through the wall. The filtrate is directed into a flowline for collection. The feedstream fluid is then arranged to flow through the filter element in the other direction, to remove contaminant material from a surface of the element wall. Following removal of contaminant material, the feedstream fluid is continued to be directed through the wall of the filter element in said other direction, to filter out contaminants from the fluid during flow in said other direction.

A generation device is provided for converting an available resource to a desired utility; the resource may be water, in which case the generator is a purifier for providing potable water, or, alternatively, the generator may convert a fuel to electrical power. In either case, an input sensor is provided for measuring input to the generation device, while an output sensor is provided for measuring consumption of output from the generation device. The monitoring system has a controller for concatenating measured input and consumption of output on the basis of the input and output sensors. Measured parameters are telemetered to a remote site where utility generation and use are monitored and may also be controlled.

摘要： During the process of compressing air, atmospheric air along with water vapor and airborne contaminants are ingested into the air compressor. Many of these compressors utilize oil for lubrication, sealing and cooling. A compressor system utilizes drain valves to remove the condensate that accumulates in the system which are typically located on the compressor, moisture separators, coalescing filters, receivers, dryers, and drip legs. While the drain valves successfully remove the condensate, this condensate is now contaminated with lubricant. The compressor system also includes a filter for the removal of lubricant from the condensed water so that the water can be discharged to sewer. The filter is arranged to house a series of vertically stacked filter cartridges, each cartridge structured to pass fluid flow to the other cartridge. The housing includes a series of outlets having removable covers that, when removed, permit discharge of filtered water.

摘要： Embodiments of the invention are directed toward a novel pressurized vapor cycle for distilling liquids. In some embodiments of the invention, a liquid purification system is revealed, including the elements of an input for receiving untreated liquid, an evaporator condenser (600) coupled to the input for transforming the liquid to vapor and for transforming compressed vapor into a distilled liquid produce, a head chamber (300) for collecting the vapor from the evaporator condenser (600), a regenerative blower in communication with the head chamber for compressing the vapor, wherein the evaporator condenser (600) comprising a plurality of parallel core evaporator tubes, each tube having a first open end in communication with the input and a second open end in communication with the head chamber (300). Other embodiments of the invention are directed toward heat management, and other process enhancements for making the system especially efficient.
