    • A small and thin buzzer which can be mounted on a printed circuit board. A buzzer assembly (11,111,211) and a lead connecting chamber (12,112,212) are provided in a buzzer case (10,110,210). One end of each of the terminals (13,113,213;14,114,214) for external connection is extended to the inside of the lead connecting chamber and the exciting coil (17,117,217) terminals of the buzzer assembly are connected to the terminals for external connection within the buzzer case. A lead groove (10 a ,110 a ,210 a ) for leading the exciting coil terminals therethrough are provided on the inner surface of the buzzer case. Thus, the connection between the exciting coil terminals and the terminals for external connection is facilitated and a resonance space for the buzzer assembly is secured.

    • A printer having a function of reading a bar code attached on a printing paper (10). A carrier cover (26a) of a sensor carrier unit (26) is disposed against the bar-coded surface of the printing paper (10) as located in the printing position by a positioning means, and the printing paper (10) is supported on its rear surface by a guide member (20), whereupon the sensor carrier unit (26) is moved in the direction of reading the bar code (16). Therefore, the distance between the bar code (16) and the sensor (18) is normally kept constant so that the printing paper (10) is effectively prevented from being displaced during reading.
