摘要： There is provided a sheet processing apparatus (1) that is capable of allowing a decrease in the speed at which sheets are discharged to a stacking device (200) even if sheets are conveyed into the sheet processing apparatus at short time intervals, or capable of eliminating the necessity of using an aligning device that can perform each alignment at a high speed, or capable of reducing the number of times of operations to be performed by the aligning device, and an image forming apparatus (300) that is provided with that sheet processing apparatus. A plurality of sheets being conveyed, is superposed on a sheet superposing device (5). The sheets conveyed with delay from said sheet superposing device are stacked on a stacking device (130). An aligning device aligns the sheets stacked in said stacking device. A controller causes that sheet superposing operation irrespective of whether a sheet bundle has to be processed by the sheet processing apparatus.

The input module generates second indicating data based on the first indicating data, the second indicating data being at least partially indicative of the response data. The second indicating data is sent to a computer system. The printing module includes a printing mechanism configured to receive the response data from the computer system. The second interface is based at least partially on the response data. The printing module then prints the second interface onto the second surface using the printing mechanism.

摘要： A sheet finisher (PD) for executing preselected processing with a sheet conveyed thereto of the present invention includes a first processing tray (F) configured to temporarily store the sheet and deliver it. A first and a second path are positioned downstream of the first processing tray (F) in a direction of sheet conveyance and configured to convey a first and a second sheet stack, respectively. The first path (C) conveys the first sheet stack upward over the downstream portion of the first processing tray (F) while the second path conveys it downward over the same. A switching device (55) selects either one of the first and second paths. The sheet finisher (PD) of the present invention is low cost and highly productive and space saving.

If the size of sheets to be post-processed is unsuitable for the post-processing, a flapper (301) is changed over so that the sheets transported from the printer main body (100) are discharged directly to the face-down discharge portion (125) and stacked thereon.
