摘要： The thermal printer in which an irregular character pattern such a bar code or an OCR (optical character recognizer) character which are different in length and width from the standard font patterns are modified into bit patterns having the same size as that of the standard font patterns. These bit patterns are stored along with restoring data for restoring the bar codes with restoring data for restoring the bar codes and OCR characters to their original pattern for output to a printer. The thermal printer is responsive to a heating element driving pulse signal which is applied once during the data cycle when an ordinary character or graph is printed and twice during data cycle when a bar code is printed. The second pulse per data cycle is selectively applied to the heating element for each irregular character such that the thermal printer is heated to higher temperatures, thereby increasing the diameter of each dot to be printed so that the ruggedness of the contour line of the bar code is minimized.

摘要： A thermal transfer printing method uses an ink sheet (12) having solid ink layers (11) whose optical reflection density is smaller than a maximum value of the optical reflection density of picture elements to be printed, and comprises the first step of printing the picture elements by moving a plain paper (4) and the ink sheet (12) in a forward direction (FW) so that the solid inkl layers are transferred onto the plain paper (4), the second step of moving the plain paper (4) in a backward direction (BW) and the third step of transferring the solid ink layers (11) in an overlapping manner onto the picture elements printed in the first step, by moving the plain paper (4) and the ink sheet (12) again in the forward direction (FW). In the first and third steps, the solid ink layers (11) are completely transferred onto the plain paper (4). The gradation of the picture elements is determined by the number of transfer times. Therefore, each picture element in the gradation can be printed in an extremely stable manner with good reproducibility.

摘要： The present disclosure is directed to a printing assembly that includes an image transfer station and a blower configured to provide a cooling stream of air to a product being printed upon. Nozzles may be positioned such that the air targets the leading edge and side edges of the product to facilitate removal of the intermediate transfer media from the targeted areas and reduce the occurrence of flash. Also, a chamber may be defined by a wall of the transfer assembly and peel bars to focus the air flow and insulate the cooling stream of air from the heat of the transfer device. The blower may be configured to provide air when the product is received into and expelled from the transfer assembly. The printing assembly may include sensors and control circuitry for detecting the position of the product and controlling the blower accordingly.

摘要： A thermal transfer printer having simpler structure, occupying less installation space, and enhancing the user convenience. The thermal transfer printer includes a cartridge having print paper wound in a roll, a capstan roller for conveying the print paper by applying frictional force on the print paper, a printing head for printing images on the print paper, and a platen roller for selectively pressing the print paper against the printing head. The housing of the cartridge has a first opening penetrating the housing and extending laterally. A paper roll case is rotatably installed in the housing and has a second opening penetrating the paper roll case and extending laterally. Inside the paper roll case, a paper roll is stuck on the inner surface of the paper roll case, and print paper is wound from the inner surface of the paper roll case to inward direction, while a first end of the print paper is exposed through the second opening.
