The data driver includes a first digital-analog converter including a plurality of first switches, the first digital-analog converter selecting two reference voltages from among a plurality of reference voltages by turning on two of the first switches corresponding to high level bits of data; and a second digital-analog converter for dividing the two reference voltages into a plurality of voltages and for supplying any one of the two reference voltages and the divided voltages corresponding to low level bits of the data as a data signal to an output terminal, wherein the second digital-analog converter includes a transistor turned on by a bias voltage to compensate for a turn-on resistance of the two of the first switches.

摘要： Methods and systems for implementing high-performance data converters remove analog technology bottlenecks and provide higher converter resolution and higher speed. A preferred embodiment of the method comprises the steps of transforming a time domain input signal into a frequency domain signal in a digital form, processing the frequency domain signal and the input signal using at least two lower-performance data converters in order to obtain at least two processed signals, and recombining the at least two processed signals to obtain a final output signal from the high-performance converter. Inventively and advantageously, the processing includes dividing the frequency domain into at least two frequency domain parts, one related to a low-resolution signal to noise ratio (SNR) and the other elated to a high-resolution SNR, and using frequency information resulting from the division to obtain the at least two processed signals.

摘要： A pipelined digital-to-analog converter "DAC" converts a digital input to an analog output. The pipelined DAC has a plurality of stages. A first of the plurality of stages is coupled to an initialization capacitor and ground. Each of the remainder of the plurality of stages is coupled to a respective previous stage. The capacitor (54) has first and second plates. The capacitor receives a charge at the first plate in accordance with an associated bit of the digital input. The first switch (56) coupled the first plate of the capacitor to ground when the capacitor is not receiving the charge. The second switch (58) couples the second plate of the capacitor to ground when the capacitor is receiving the charge. Coupling the capacitor to ground reduces the effect of stray capacitance in the pipelined DAC, improving its performance.

摘要： Bei der Übertragung hochfrequenter Signale über eine Leitung zu einer integrierten Schaltung ist die Leitung möglichst nahe an ihrem Ende angepaßt abzuschließen. Jedes Leitungsstück ohne angepaßten Abschlußwiderstand und jede Leitungsverzweigung erzeugt störende Reflexionen des Signals. Bei modernen Gehäusen hochintegrierter Schaltungen haben die Anschlüsse nur noch einen Abstand von 0,5 mm, und es wird zunehmend schwieriger, die Signalleitungen möglichst dicht am Anschluß der integrierten Schaltung mit einem Widerstand zu beschalten. Erfindungsgemäß wird ein als Abschlußwiderstand wirkender Feldeffekttransistor (T R ) innerhalb der integrierten Schaltung angeordnet. Der durch den Kanalwiderstand bestimmte Widerstandswert wird durch eine geregelte Steuerspannung so eingestellt, daß Einflüsse der Betriebstemperatur, Änderungen der Vorsorgungsspannung und herstellungsprozeßbedingte Abweichungen der integrierten Schaltung keine Auswirkungen auf den für die Leitungsanpassung erforderlichen Widerstandswert haben.
