摘要： An exercise apparatus is provided comprising a frame having a front and a rear. A pair of arms are pivotally mounted at one end to the rear of the frame and a pedal is mounted to the other end of each arm. The arms are linked to each other such that when the arms are aligned, the arms extend forward and down so that the pivot axes are above and behind the respective pedals. An resistance mechanism may optionally be included. In use, user positions his or her feet on the pedals and, when provided, selects a desired resistance. The user then selects a desired speed and a desired range of motion and reciprocates the arms back and forth by alternately applying a force to the pedals in accordance with the selected speed and range of motion. The arm pivot axes remain behind and below the user's hips throughout the selected range of motion.

摘要： An exercise apparatus is disclosed which simulates a stair climber, and which determines the amount of user exercise by the speed of rotation of a flywheel (80). The speed of the flywheel is controlled to maintain the desired speed of stair climbing by a friction belt (82) engaging the flywheel (80). A rotary electrical motor (84) is moved in one direction to tighten the belt (82) on the flywheel (80) and in the opposite direction to loosen the belt (82) on the flywheel. A slack sensor (98) determines whether the motor (84) has been moved to a limit in the belt-loosening direction. Incremental changes of motor energy are used to gradually reduce an error signal between command speed and actual speed. Pulse width modulation is used to vary the motor energy in accordance with the size of the error signal.

摘要： The invention relates to a water-resistant rowing machine including a frame, a handle, a seat and pedals arranged on the frame. The water-resistant rowing machine further includes: a resistance mechanism having a water tank arranged at one end of the frame and a rotation portion arranged in the water tank, the rotation portion being connected to the handle through a transmission mechanism to implement linkage among the handle, the seat and the rotation portion; and an adjustment mechanism having a holding portion that cooperates with the rotation portion for adjusting the rotation resistance of the rotation portion. In the apparatus of the invention, since a turntable is arranged on the rotation shaft, holding blocks on two clamping terminals are in contact with two end faces of the turntable respectively and the clamping terminals are slidably disposed on the frame, the contact area of the holding blocks with the turntable can be adjusted, and a greater contact area will lead to a greater rotation resistance to the rotation shaft, thereby the user can adjust the rotation resistance as needed.
