    • A plant for growing fish comprises a number of adjacent pools (23) to which water is supplied at one end and which, at the other end, have a water outlet in the form of a narrow gap close to the bottom. Since the depth of the water in the pools (23) is relatively small, the fish are forced to move close to the bottom and, by their fin movements, keep the waste collected on the bottom in motion and cause it to move with the flowing water to the outlet opening into a space (20), the bottom of which is situated at a lower level than the bottom of the pools (23). The space has an overflow edge on a level with the water surface in the pools, thus causing the waste coming through the outlet to sink down to the bottom of the space from where it is conducted to a purification plant (38, 39), while clean water flows upwards over the overflow edge to an outlet duct (40) from where it is discharged into a lake or water course and/or recycled to the pool inlet.

    • System for vertical adjustment of a fabric 3 delimiting an upper part of a net cage, wherein the fabric is arranged along the whole circumference of the net cage. The system comprises an upper 4 and a lower 5 frame ring which the fabric 3 is fastened to, and a number of stay lines 7 running vertically between the upper and lower ring, as the lower ring 5 may be lifted by pulling the stay lines 7. The invention also comprises an alternative system for vertical adjustment of a fabric 3 delimiting an upper part of a net cage, wherein the fabric 3 is arranged along the whole circumference of the net cage. The system comprises an upper 4 and a lower 5 frame ring, and at the least one lifting ring 6 between, as the fabric is fastened to a fastening ring and the lowermost lifting ring 6A. A fastening ring may either be the upper frame ring 4, or an upper lifting ring 6. The system further comprises a number of stay lines 7 running vertically between the upper and the lower frame ring, as the lower frame ring 5 is lifted by pulling the stay lines 7, and a number of lifting lines 8 running vertically upwards from the lifting rings 6, to lift the fabric 3 by pulling the lifting lines 8. The invention also relates to a net cage comprising an upper part being delimited by a vertical fabric 3 arranged along the whole circumference wherein the water in the part has reduced salinity. The fabric may be adjusted vertically by a system as described above.
