A difference value between the two stored tracking information signals is detected and compared with a predetermined value, and the comparison result is used to select one of the two stored tracking information signals to control the tracking during recording at the desired editing point, so that small head position detector errors will not accumulate over a number of edit points on the master tape (13).

摘要： A method and apparatus for synchronizing a plurality of tape recording and playback machines is described. A synchronizing device for each tape machine to be synchronized is provided. The synchronizing devices are coupled to each other via a communications channel included a serial port for transmitting control information and an additional conductor for transmitting master timing reference pulses. A synchronizing device is chosen as a master device. The master device transmits master timing reference pulses via the communica- ions channel to the remaining tape machines, the pulses indicating the start of each frame on the master tape. Each of the remaining tape machines is a slave to the master. Frame numbers for selected frames on the master tape are transmitted on the serial port to the slave tape machines, but only on an infrequent basis, i.e., a frame number is not transmitted for each frame. A local counter in each of the slave synchronizing devices counts the master timing reference pulses to keep track of the master frame numbers between transmitted frame numbers. An apparatus and method also are disclosed for enabling fast synchronization of the slaved tape machines on | start-up and for determining that the tape comes to rest.

摘要： In order to improve the efficiency of the primary editing of a video tape, a shot-mark which is used as a mark during the primary editing is determined. In the case of video tape of a digital VTR format, the shot-mark can be recorded as a user's bit of a time code track. The shot-mark may be added during the editing. During the primary editing, a master tape is produced by using a certain range which is specified using the shot-mark position as a reference.

摘要： A method for producing a personalized sports activity instructional videotape on a computer from a pre-recorded instructional videotape about the sport activity. The pre-recorded videotape has at least one gap and a plurality of instructional video segments which each address an aspect of the sports activity as performed by different persons. The method comprises recording in a first computer file a plurality of video frames of a person's performance of a sports activity. Information is then recorded in a second computer file about said person: Frames are selected from said video frames from first computer file which most closely match predetermined postures of the sports activity, and co-ordinates in at least some of said selected frames of predetermined points of said person or implements used in said sports activity are recorded in said second computer file. Segments are selected from said instructional video segments based upon information in said second computer file. The selected instructional video segments are combined with at least one of said selected frames into a series of video frames and the series of video frames are inserted into said gap in said videotape.

摘要： A data compressing means compresses information data inputted through an inputting means and an input buffer means temporarily stores the compressed data compressed by means of the data compressing means. A recording and reproducing means records the compressed data read out from the input buffer means on a recording medium and reproduces the compressed data recorded on the recording medium. An output buffer means temporarily stores the compressed data reproduced by means of the recording and reproducing means and a data expanding means expands the compressed data read out from the output buffer means. An outputting means outputs the data expanded by means of the expanding means. While a set of information data is being recorded in an information data file, therefore, the data which have been recorded in the same file, for example, several to several tens minutes before can be reproduced without interrupting the recording.
