摘要： A vehicle entertainment system is described for reproducing and displaying information and control options. It comprises means for information reproduction (10) and user operating means for selecting one of the control options. There is a primary display (20,50) arranged in the front of the vehicle and at least a secondary display (40) for the rear seat passengers. Information adapting means (60,95) adapt the information to be displayed on the primary display (20,50) to a limited version including the control options. A full version of the information is displayed on the secondary display. In this way, the driver can control the system without being too much distracted by the information and the rear seat passengers see the complete version of the information.

摘要： It is an object to provide a mobile information terminal device capable of surely preventing erroneous determination that caption data is included in a digital TV broadcast wave for a program other than a closed-captioned broadcast program.
A PES generating part 13 combines a plurality of TS (Transport Stream) packets extracted from a digital TV broadcast wave on a data type basis to thereby generate a PES (Packetized Elementary Stream) including caption data. A caption management data detecting part 18 detects a presence or an absence of caption management data periodically included in the caption data, and on the basis of a result of the detection, a caption outputting part 16 outputs a caption. Based on this, in the case where a digital TV broadcast wave for a program other than a closed-captioned broadcast program is received, the caption can be controlled not to be outputted on the basis of a fact that the caption management data is not detected, and thereby erroneous determination that the digital TV broadcast wave includes the caption data can be surely prevented.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a system and method for storing and transmitting a videoconference system name (identifier) in the languages of double byte character sets. Although described in terms of a videoconferencing system, the techniques described herein have applicability to various other systems that rely upon inter-language compatibility, including telephonic communication such as cell phones or IP phones, as well as various computer network applications in which computers having different default languages are in communication. In a preferred embodiment, the system identifier is stored in a text or ASCII format rather than native (binary) format. Additionally, a system employing a preferred embodiment of the teachings described herein allows a particular system to have multiple site names (136) in multiple different languages. This allows such a system to interface and exchange identifier data with other systems having different language settings (132) during a caller ID exchange.

摘要： A method, a system and a machine-readable medium are provided for an on demand translation service. A translation module including at least one language pair module for translating a source language to a target language may be made available for use by a subscriber. The subscriber may be charged a fee for use of the requested on demand translation service or may be provided use of the on demand translation service for free in exchange for displaying commercial messages to the subscriber. A video signal may be received including information in the source language, which may be obtained as text from the video signal and may be translated from the source language to the target language by use of the translation module. Translated information, based on the translated text, may be added into the received video signal. The video signal including the translated information in the target language may be sent to a display device.

摘要： An interactive television program guide system based on multiple user television equipment devices in a single household is provided. The system provides a user with an opportunity to adjust program guide settings with a given one of the interactive television program guides. The system co-ordinates the operation of the interactive television program guides so that the program guide settings that were adjusted with the given interactive television program guide are used by the other interactive television program guides. Program guide settings include features related to setting program reminders, profiles, program recording features, messaging features, favorite features, parental control features, program guide set up features, (e.g. audio and video and language settings), etc. The operation of application such as web browser applications, home shopping applications, home banking applications, game applications, etc. may also be co-ordinated.

摘要： A video processor card stores tap generation information for determining a predetermined tap coefficient when the tap generation information is used together with tap generation information stored in another video processor card, and supplies a video processing interface with the tap generation information. The video processing interface extracts video data having a predictive tap used to predict a target pixel and video data having a class tap used to classify the target data, and class classifies the target data based on the class tap.
