摘要： A system and method are described below for encoding interactive low- latency video (961,962,...,970) using interframe coding. For example, one embodiment of a computer-implemented method for performing video compression comprises: detecting a maximum data rate of a communication channel between a server and a client; transmitting a video stream comprising a series of sequential frames from the server to the client; detecting that the maximum data rate will be exceeded if a particular frame of the sequence of frames is transmitted from the server to the client over the communication channel; and in lieu of transmitting the frame (974, 977, 978, 979) which could cause the maximum data rate to be exceeded, causing the client to re-render the previous frame (983,986) of the sequence of frames, thereby effectively reducing the frame rate of the video stream rendered on the client.

摘要： Method for the cross-modulation of DVB-S or DVB-C signals to DVB-T signals by PID filtering, the signals being organized in transport streams of bits organized in packets, each one of which has a packet PID, which comprises demodulating, in a demodulator (1), a DVB-S or DVB-C signal, to obtain an initial transport stream TSx composed of elements or packets of bytes, from whose steams must be eliminated PES ("Packetized Elementary Stream") packets to adapt the transport rate. For all the packets of the initial transport stream TSx, the following phases are performed in a PID filter (2): read the PID identifier of each packet of the initial transport stream; if the PID identifier corresponds to a PID of a PES which must be eliminated, filter the PID marking this as NULL packet, with the marker reserved for the NULL packet, without modifying the program clock reference of the packets or the PSI tables, generating a filtered transport stream TSy.

摘要： The disclosure relates to video rate adaptation techniques that may use information from a medium access control (MAC) layer and radio link protocol (RLP) layer. The techniques may greatly reduce video delay by adjusting video encoding rate. For real-time video telephony (VT) applications, these techniques may provide graceful quality degradation and improve user experience, especially when the channel conditions degrade.

摘要： A general purpose, programmable media processor (12) for processing and transmitting a media data streams. The media processor (12) incorporates an execution unit (100) that maintains substantially peak data through out of media data streams. The execution unit (100) includes a dynamically partionable multi-precision arithmetic unit (102), programmable switch (104) and programmable extended mathematical element (106). A high bandwidth external interface (124) supplies media data streams at substantially peak rates to a general purpose register file (110) and the execution unit.
