摘要： An electric rotating machine is provided that efficiently radiates heat, caused in the vicinity of a portion where a brush and a slip ring makes contact with each other, to the outside of a brush holder and that can prevent the temperature of the brush from excessively rising. The brush holder holding the brush that supplies a magnetic-field current to a magnetic-field winding by way of the slip ring is provided with an energization terminal that electrically connects a magnetic-field circuit with the brush and a brush cooling metal member that cools the brush; the brush cooling metal member radiates heat, generated in the vicinity of a contact portion between the brush and the slip ring, to the outside of the brush holder.

摘要： A device (i.e., a slip-ring or a homopolar motor/generator) (40, 50, 80) is adapted to provide electrical contact between a stator and a rotor (41, 83), and includes: a current-carrying brush-spring (31, 84) mounted on the stator, and having two opposite surfaces; a fibrous brush assembly (35, 69) mounted on the conductor, the brush assembly having a bundle of fibers (36, 71) arranged such that the tips of the fibers will engage the rotor for transferring electrical current between the stator and rotor; a ribbon (33, 85) of superconducting material mounted on each opposite surface of the current-carrying brush-spring and communicating with the stator and the brush assembly; and another ribbon (29, 86) of superconducting material mounted on the rotor. The device is submerged in a cryogenic fluid at a temperature below the transition temperatures of the superconducting materials such that the electrical resistivity of the device will be reduced and the current-transfer capability of the device will be increased.

A partitioning wall is disposed so as to project from an inner wall surface of the rear bracket so as to separate a rectifier cooling airflow passage for cooling the rectifier and a regulator circuit cooling airflow passage for cooling the regulator circuit by stopping circumferential flow of air that is sucked in through the suction aperture to cool the rectifier and the regulator circuit respectively.

摘要： A motor includes a substantially cylindrical housing, a rotor assembly, a cover, a sleeve, and a cooling fan. The cooling fan is installed at one end of a rotating shaft of the rotor assembly to induce airflow. The sleeve, being closely fitted around the housing, is integrally formed with a plurality of wind-caching projections, each of which is located above one upstream through hole defined on the housing and faces towards the cooling fan. The wind-catching projections can receive the airflow induced by the cooling fan and guides the airflow to enter the housing via the upstream through holes to dissipate the heat accumulated in the motor, so that the motor can be prevented from damages due to heat accumulation. Therefore, the performance and service life of the motor can be increased.
