摘要： The present invention provides a carboxyl group-containing polymer and a composition containing the polymer which exhibit excellent anti-soil redeposition ability in fabric washing. The carboxyl group-containing polymer includes specific ratios of a structure unit (a) derived from an ether bond-containing monomer (A), a structure unit (b) derived from a sulfonic acid group-containing monomer (B), and a structure unit (c) derived from an acrylic acid-based monomer (C), and has a specific weight average molecular weight. The carboxyl group-containing polymer composition contains the carboxyl group-containing polymer and a specific amount of a hydrogen sulfite adduct of the acrylic acid-based monomer (C).

摘要： A non-caustic oven cleaner composition comprises from 1 % to 12 % monoethanolamine, from 2 % to 20 % diethylene glycol monobutyl ether and from 1 to 10 % of sodium or potassium carbonate. The composition, preferably in an aerosol formulation having from 2 % to 10 % propellent, is effective at ambient room temperatures. The preferred carbonate is potassium carbonate. Up to 60 % of the monoethanolamine can be replaced with an equivalent amount of diethanolamine.

摘要： A food-safe composition for the pretreatment of a surface, preferably an oven or a broiler, which may be subjected to heat is liable to soiling by organic food deposits, especially baked-on food deposits. A food-safe, inorganic thickening agent which is substantially insoluble in an alkaline aqueous composition and which is present in an amount sufficient so that, during application to the surface, the composition is capable of forming a continuous coating adhered to all desired portions of the surface, is combined with (1) an alkaline, food-safe, water-soluble inorganic salt in an amount sufficient so that the composition is readily removable with water or an aqueous solution after the composition has been dried and soiled and (2) a high-boiling, organic component selected from the group consisting of (a) ethers having more than seven carbon atoms and (b) aliphatic esters having carboxylic acid-derived portions of more than seven carbon atoms, wherein said high-boiling, organic component is present in an amount sufficient so that the continuous coating remains continuous as the coating dries. The composition forms a film after drying, preferably by heating, which remains continuous over all portions of the surface, including areas which may already be soiled with food deposits. After the film accumulates additional food soils, the soiled film can be readily removed by contact with water or an aqueous solution.

摘要： Liquid, caustic-free, pre-spotting compositions that remove baked-on food residues from hard surfaces at ambient temperatures are provided which comprise:

a. from about 1 to 40%, preferably 4 to 20%, of a surfactant selected from the group consisting of anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants and mixtures thereof;
b. from about 1 to 10% of a builder selected from the group consisting of polyphosphates, pyrophosphates, citrates, carbonates, and mixtures thereof;
c. from about 0.2% to 2% of an amine selected from the group consisting of monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine and mixtures thereof;
d. water; and
e. further comprising from about 3 to 50% of a solvent, which solvent is selected from the groups consisting of:

i) sulfolane, propylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, ethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate, diethylene glycol dimethyl ether, ethylene glycol dimethyl ether, diethylene glycol diethyl ether, and mixtures thereof;
ii) diethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, and N-methyl 2-pyrrolidone and mixtures thereof; and
iii) a mixture of two solvents, the first such solvent comprising 5-17% of an acetate selected from the group consisting of ethyl acetate and n-propyl acetate, and the second such solvent comprising 15-34% of a solvent selected from the group consisting of acetone, N-methyl 2-pyrrolidone and methyl ethyl ketone, wherein the ratio of the first solvent to the second solvent may range from 1:4 to 1:2.

Additionally, such formulations may include:

f. from about 3 to 22% of imidazole; and
g. up to 6% of a foam booster, a foam stabilizer, a viscosity adjusting agent, and mixtures thereof.
