摘要： A small, radio-controlled helicopter with an internal-combustion engine with two opposed, simultaneous-ignition cylinders to reduce ignition vibrations applied to the helicopter body. Thus, when this small helicopter is equipped with apparatus for video recording or photography, it is possible to obtain clear picture images while preventing any unwanted movement of the camera. In addition, various other operations, such as the spreading of pharmaceuticals and the guiding of lead ropes, can be conducted stably.

In one aspect, a method comprises: (a) selecting, with aid of a processor, a subset of a plurality of sensors to be used for navigating the vehicle within the environment based on one or more predetermined criteria, wherein the plurality of sensors are arranged on the vehicle such that each sensor of the plurality of sensors is configured to obtain sensor data from a different field of view; (b) processing, with aid of the processor, the sensor data from the selected sensor(s) so as to generate navigation information for navigating the vehicle within the environment; and (c) outputting, with aid of the processor, signals for controlling the vehicle based on the navigation information.

摘要： An intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance system and associated operating method is disclosed including a ground station and one or more autonomous aerial vehicles. Each automomous vehicle is adapted to a) self-monitor a plurality of environment data; b) calculate, based at least in part upon the environment data, a soft wall radius from which it can return to the command and control interface station; c) receive a destination position to which it is commanded to fly; d) determine if the destination position is beyond the soft wall radius; and e) communicate an alert to the command and control interface station if the destination position is beyond the soft wall radius.
