摘要： The invention relates to a method for producing a solids cake created in filtering performed by a suction drier provided with a fine porous liquid suction surface, in which method there is created, in order to produce said solids cake, a pressure difference in between the filter surface of the fine porous filter medium and the surface opposite to said filter surface. According to the invention, in connection with the filter cake formation, the pressure difference between the filter surface of the fine porous filter medium and the surface opposite to said filter surface is controlled in order to adjust the cake formation speed, and the slurry surface of the suction drier filtering tank is advantageously maintained on a level that enables the use of at least one filter surface cleaning member, essentially throughout the whole filter cake formation process.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for removal of liquid from thickeners, filters, washers and the like dewatering devices. The known water separating devices comprise a drop leg and a large filtrate tank in which gas is removed from the gas-containing filtrate supplied via the drop leg, to reduce the problems caused by the gas in pumping the filtrate.
The method of the invention obviates the need of both the drop leg and the filtrate tank. The filtrate is guided from the dewatering apparatus via an enclosed flow passage to a filtrate pump and the pressure difference required by filtering is at the same time generated at least partially by the said pump. The above described method is carried out by a filtrate removing apparatus which comprises a filtrate duct (22, 42, 62) which forms an enclosed flow passage, and a filtrate pump (23, 43, 63) connected thereto.

摘要： Filtration process and filters for use with materials such as, but no limited to, polymeric melts, utilizing a band (18) of a filter medium sealed in a housing (10) by sealing rollers (24, 26) to seal the polymeric material from leaking to the outside of the housing. In one embodiment, the sealing rollers make it possible to advance the filter medium through the housing continuously. In various embodiments, the filter medium can be advanced either by a take-up spool (32) or by driving the sealing rollers and the rate of movement of the filter medium through the housing can be controlled to maintain a constant pressure drop across the filter. Maintaining constant conditions through continuous advancement of the filter medium during filtration yields higher product quality and dimensional stability.

摘要： Disclosed are a filter cake scraping method which can scrape a filter cake layer deposited on the surface of a filter drum with a scrape blade even if the particles of the cake are fine, and a rotary drum type filter using this method. When pressure inside a suspension vessel rises above a predetermined value, a control means quickly reduces the pressure. Accordingly, precoated material or the like, which has been deposited on the filter drum, expands to push a layer of filter cake outward, thus permitting a scrape blade provided beside the filter drum to scrape the expanded cake layer.
