    • A rotary drum type dehydrator includes a rotary drum filter, a suction tube having an inlet and an outlet, said inlet communicating with inside space of the rotary drum filter, a compressed air supply tube connected to the suction tube in a portion thereof downstream of the inlet and communicating with the suction tube and an air compressor connected to the compressed air supply tube for supplying compressed air to the compressed air supply tube. Vacuum is produced in the inside space of the rotary drum filter by supplying compressed air from the air compressor to the suction tube through the compressed air supply tube. A filtered liquid receiving container is provided to collect filtered liquid and the outlet of the suction tube is disposed in the filtered liquid receiving container in such a manner that filtered liquid is jetted out of the outlet of the suction tube and is struck against a side wall of the filtered liquid receiving container or against surface of liquid stored in the container.

    • The application relates to an information transfer system, comprising a receiver (3) and a transmitter (1) for transferring an information signal to the receiver (3) via a transfer medium (2). The information signal comprises main data and sub data. The sub data comprises coded text lines having a plurality of character codes. The receiver is provided with a character display unit (10) for displaying characters corresponding with the character codes in the coded text lines. The number of character display positions is less than the number of character codes in the coded text line. The receiver is provided with display control means (9) for controlling the display of characters corresponding to the character codes included in the coded text line in dependence on serial control codes included in the coded text line. The system enables that significant parts of the text information available in the sub data can be shown on both a full multi-line display units for displaying full text lines and a 1-line display with a relative small number of digits. The invention is very suitable for systems with small sized receivers, such as e.g. portable players and car radios, and receivers wit a display on its remote controller, because there is not much space available for a display unit.

    • The invention relates to a method for removing liquid from a mixture of liquid and solid matter. Said mixture is led over one or more casings by means of a conveyor belt which is pervious to liquid. In use a sub-atmospheric pressure is generated in the casings during a first period, in which said casing(s) and said conveyor belt are stationary with respect to each other, whilst at the same time a pressure is exerted on the mixture by means of rollers. During a period following on said first period a relative movement takes place between the conveyor belt and the casing(s), whilst during this period no sub-atmospheric pressure is exerted in the casings and no compressive force is exerted on the mixture by means of the rollers.
