摘要： A control apparatus for a gas sensor with a built-in heater is provided which can prevent damage to, deterioration of, and reduction in accuracy of detection of, a gas sensor. When an ignition switch is turned ON, supply of electricity to a heater 27 starts, and when the temperature in the vicinity of a gas sensor 15 (gas temperature of gas detection chamber 24) Ts becomes greater than a predetermined temperature #Ti at start, or when a predetermined electricity supply time after start of supply of electricity to the heater 27 has elapsed, the gas sensor 15 is started. The flow of off-gas is started simultaneously with starting of the gas sensor 15, or after starting. When the ignition switch is turned OFF, the flow of off gas is stopped, and the supply of electric power to the gas sensor 15 is stopped. In a state where a temperature difference ΔT between the gas temperature Ts inside the gas detection chamber 24, and an upstream gas temperature Tg is maintained within a predetermined range, the supply of electricity to the heater 27 is stopped after a predetermined time has elapsed after operation of the gas sensor 15 is stopped.

摘要： An unreacted gas detector including a reactor unit for producing a target gas by way of reacting material gases in its reaction chamber, a sensor body connected to the reactor unit, a measurement space provided in the sensor body for allowing the target gas to flow, an unreacted gas sensor having a temperature measurement section covered by a catalyst layer and disposed inside the measurement space, and a target gas sensor with its temperature measurement section disposed in the sensor body. Any unreacted gas remaining in the target gas is reacted by the catalyst layer so that a resulted temperature change is detected by the unreacted gas sensor, and a target gas temperature is measured by a target gas temperature sensor, thus finding an unreacted gas concentration from a temperature difference between the temperatures obtained by the unreacted gas sensor and the target gas temperature sensor.

摘要： A combustible gas detector or sensors having a multi-level sensitivity circuitry. The gas detector has a bridge circuit for outputting voltages indicative of gas concentrations contacting the bridge circuit. There is a power supply node electrically coupled to one end of the bridge circuit. There is also a voltage control circuit, coupled between the bridge circuit and the power supply node for controlling when at least a low and high input voltage level is supplied to the bridge circuit so that the bridge circuit has at least two levels of gas concentration discernability. 摘要： A catalytic detector for a flammable gas comprises a substrate and a sensing structure suspended from the substrate. The sensing structure has a combined heating element and temperature sensing element in the form of a layer-deposited electrically conductive track terminating in at least two electrically conductive bridging leads. A catalytic bead is deposited over the temperature sensing element and that portion of the substrate which is directly beneath the sensing structure is etched away so as to isolate thermally the sensing structure with the temperature sensing structure being supported by the bridging leads. The electrically conductive track is sandwiched between a substrate adhesion layer for facilitating adhesion of the conductive track and a superstrate diffusion barrier layer. The invention extends to a method of manufacturing a gas detector and a sensing structure.
