    • In the invention, a run-flat tire including a pair of bead portions having an annular first bead, sidewall portions respectively extending to an outer side in a tire diametrical direction from the bead portions, reinforcing rubber layers arranged in the sidewall portions, a tread portion connecting outer peripheral side ends of the sidewall portions via shoulder portions, wherein the run-flat tire includes an annular inflating portion provided at the outside in a tire width direction of the bead portion arranged at the outside of the vehicle, and having an inner circumferential side face opposing to an outer circumferential curved side face of a rim flange when a regular rim is fixed; and an annular second bead arranged at the annular inflating portion, wherein the reinforcing rubber layer arranged at the outside of the vehicle has a rubber hardness of 60 to 82 degree, the reinforcing rubber layer arranged at the inside of the vehicle has a rubber hardness of 65 to 90 degree, and the reinforcing rubber layer arranged at the inside of the vehicle has the rubber hardness which is equal to or more than that at the outside of the vehicle, and has a maximum thickness which is larger than that at the outside of the vehicle by at least 0.5 mm.

    • The run-flat tire (10) has a tread (12) and a belt package with belt plies (81) interior to the tread (12). A plurality of radially reinforced carcass layers (40) are positioned interior to the belt plies (81) and include at least one carcass layer that extends between spaced apart annular beads (30). The tire (10) has a pair of sidewalls (41) each extending radially inward from shoulders (83) at lateral edges of the belt package to the annular beads (30). The sidewalls (41) have a plurality of sidewall stiffening members (50) to support the tire (10) during a loss of inflation pressure. The spaced apart beads (30) include bead cores (32) placed at a predetermined diameter with respect to a rim diameter, dual bead fillers (34, 37) above the bead cores (32), a heel corner (31c) spaced at a radial gap distance from a rim flange (84) and rim interface components having a seat interface distance below the bead core (32) for mounting the run-flat tire (10) on a conventional rim (80).

    • A pneumatic tire (10) has a tread portion (11), a pair of sidewall portions (13) and a pair of bead portions (14). Each bead portion (14) has a bead core (15), and each bead core (15) has a radially inner surface defining a bead core base (31). Radially inward of, and wider than, each bead core base (31) is a bead seat profile (20). The bead seat profile (20) provides an interference fit between the tire (30) and the ledge (42) of the wheel rim (40) to which the tire (10) is to be mounted. The bead seat profile (20) has at least two portions which are inclined at specific angles with respect to the radially inner surface of the bead core base. The radially inner base (31) of the bead core (15) is substantially parallel to the bead seat profile (20).
