摘要： An improved adaptor (10) for coupling a video camera (14) to an endoscope (12), a borescope (12), or the like includes a focusing mechanism (32), and an independent zoom or magnification variation adjustment (34) mechanism. The zoom mechanism (32) will move two lens groups (40, 42) along an optical path simultaneously, but at different speeds. Each lens group (40, 42) preferably includes a pair of lenses (40a, 40b, 42a, 42b) affixed together as a doublet. By controlling the position of the doublets (40, 42) relative to a pair of focusing lenses (48, 50), the present adaptor (10) provides an optically compensated zoom mechanism (34) which allows changes in the magnification of the adaptor (10) throughout a wide magnification range without having to refocus the adaptor (10).

摘要： A video monitoring system for a movie film camera usable with either spherical or anamorphic lenses wherein conventional, unmodified video monitors and recorders may be used. A video camera is positioned in the film camera to receive an image directly from the camera lens without interposing either a ground glass for imaging or an optical deanamorphosing lens. The anamorphic image, which is horizontally squeezed (such as by a factor of 2), that is received by the video camera then is electronically processed to deanamorphose the image by producing an analog video signal to a video monitor that displays the properly proportioned image in the middle one-half of the monitor screen and produces black areas or strips across the top one quarter and bottom one quarter of the screen. The horizontal lines of the video picture are electronically interpolated for enhancing the picture.

摘要： A camera incorporates a working memory (124) for storing a working image corresponding to the last captured image. The working image is displayed on a display screen (36) in a quick review mode of operation in response to a quick review signal entered by the camera operator via a camera control interface (74) to control processing circuitry (68,72) of the camera. The processing circuitry controls the display screen to keep it in an inactive state until the quick review signal is entered, and returns it to an inactive state after a predetermined time period or when the quick review signal is discontinued to conserve energy. In addition, the working image is displayed in the quick review mode regardless of whether a non-volatile memory is available in the camera or, in the case of a hybrid camera, whether a film cartridge is contained in a film chamber (98) of the camera.
