This has the advantage of yielding a compact, low-weight device with an improved dose accuracy. The invention may e.g. be used in injection or infusion devices for a person's self-treatment of a disease such as diabetes.

摘要： A dual component dispenser gun (10) is provided for controlled dispensing of flowable dual component materials, such as adhesives, sealants and the like. The dispenser gun (10) is designed for use with a dual component cartridge (12) having dual barrels (14, 16) respectively filled with the two flowable components, in combination with a mixing nozzle (22) through which the components can be mixed and dispensed. The cartridge is supported on top of a main pressure cylinder (47) adapted for controlled connection to a pressurized fluid source (26), such as compressed air, for displacing a power piston (48) in a first direction. The power piston (48) is connected to a pair of flexible piston rods (62) which extend through curved guide channels (64) in a guide head (38) and are connected in turn to a pair of piston plungers (66) receivable into the cartridge barrels to dispense the dual components. A pressure responsive retractor assembly (80) is carried by the power piston and responds to disconnection of the fluid source (26) from the main cylinder to retract the power piston (48) and associated piston plungers (66) at least slightly and thereby eliminate drool of the flowable components from the mixing nozzle.

摘要： A push chain (24) is used to drive a piston (26) into a canister (21) of extrudable material. The push chain is stored in an elongated chain magazine (32), withdrawn from the magazine and into the canister by actuation of a trigger (16) connected to a sprocket (22) for the chain. The push chain exerts a compressive force on a piston rod connected to a piston at a point offset from the center line of the piston, causing the piston to rotate to lock the push chain. The amount of material remaining in a tube of extrudable material is enunciated by way of a content indicator driven by the push chain.

Carrying and storing also is easier, and usability improves.
