    • A valve assembly (10) includes a housing (20), an actuator (22), a plunger (24), a cover (46), a valve body (26), and a manual override unit (34). The actuator (22) is received within the housing (20) and is disposed between a first annular wall (42) and a second annular wall (44). The plunger (24) is movably disposed within a plunger cavity (62) that is defined by the base (40) and the second annular wall (44). The cover (46) is disposed on the housing (20). The valve body (26) is connected to the housing (20). The valve body (26) has an end wall (100) that defines an outlet port (40), an annular wall (102) that axially extends from the end wall (100) and defines an inlet port (112), and a flange (104) that extends from the end wall (100) and engages the cover (46). The manual override unit (34) is operatively connected to the plunger (24).

The valve body-side valve seat section is formed from a laminated material comprising a stainless steel plate and a plate-shaped body which consists of expanded graphite.
