    • The invention relates to a method for controlling a transmission device of a vehicle. The device includes: a drive engine (18); a mechanical transmission (16) connected to the drive engine; and a hydraulic transmission (20) having a pump (24) and n hydraulic engines (26A, 26B), n being greater than or equal to 1, the pump being drivable by the drive engine such as to supply fluid to the hydraulic engines. A low-speed assistance phase is carried out, during which, when the vehicle is driven by the mechanical transmission, a pressure set point is established for the difference in pressure between the fluid supply to and exhaust from the hydraulic engines; the hydraulic engines are supplied with fluid by the pump; the difference in pressure between the fluid supply to and exhaust (28A, 28B) from the hydraulic engines (26A, 26B) is detected; and the flow rate of the pump is adjusted such that said pressure difference is substantially equal to said pressure set point.

    • The invention relates to a device which includes: a drive engine (18); a mechanical transmission (16) connected to the drive engine via a clutch (18A); and a hydraulic transmission (20) having a pump (24) and n hydraulic engines (26A, 26B), n being no lower than 1, the pump being drivable by the drive engine such as to supply fluid to the hydraulic engines. According to the method: a situation where the clutch is disengaged on the drive engine (18) is detected; an output speed of the drive engine with the clutch disengaged is calculated; and displacement of the pump (24) is determined so that the pump, when driven by the drive engine having the predetermined output speed, supplies a fluid flow to the n hydraulic engines (26A, 26B) such that at least one of the operational parameters of the hydraulic engines, among the output speed and output torque of said engines, is a target parameter.
