摘要： A slider-operated fastener (10) comprises first and second opposing tracks (12, 14) including respective first and second interlocking profiles (16, 18) and respective first and second fins (20, 22) extending downward from the respective first and second profiles (16, 18). The first and second fins (20, 22) are sealed to each other by a plurality of spaced preseals (28). After generating each preseal (28), a notch (38) is formed in the profiles and upper portions of the fins (20, 22) at the generated preseal (28). To install a slider (40) is initially positioned within the respective notch (38) and then threaded onto the fastener (10) in response to relative movement of the slider (40) and the fastener. Either before or after the steps of forming each preseal (28) and respective notch (38) and installing the respective slider (40), the fastener (10) is attached to a moving web (50) of plastic film (52). The fastener-carrying web (50) is later folded and sealed to form individual plastic bags (80).

摘要： The present invention provides a stretchable fastener stringer for a slide fastener in which an element row is attached to a stretchable fastener tape, the slide fastener being capable of preventing occurrence of chain breaking even when coupled element rows receive pushing force and capable of stably maintaining a coupled state of the element rows.
The stretchable fastener stringer according to the present invention includes a fastener tape (2) having a tape main portion (2a) and an element attaching portion (2b) and a continuous fastener element (3) which is attached to the element attaching portion (2b). The fastener tape (2) has stretchability due to an elastic yarn (8) being combined by weaving or knitting and the fastener element (3) includes a coupling head (3a), upper and lower leg portions (3b, 3c) which are extended from the coupling head (3a) and a connecting portion (3d) which connects the upper and lower leg portions (3b, 3c) therebetween of adjacent fastener elements (3). In this fastener stringer (1), a value of a bulging ratio (= mountain length H / leg portion length d) which is the ratio between a dimension of the coupling head (3a) in the tape longitudinal direction (= mountain length H) and a dimension of the upper and lower leg portions (3b, 3c) in the tape longitudinal direction (= leg portion length d) is set to be larger than 1.80 and not larger than 2.33.

摘要： A device for forming a seal includes upper and lower seal members, and a slider, wherein mating surfaces of the seal members interlock. In at least one embodiment, a lifting rib and closure bar on the slider cooperate with a lifting wing and closure bar groove on the upper and lower seal members, respectively. By moving the slider in one direction, the lifting rib lifts the upper seal member from the lower seal member. Moving the slider in the opposite direction causes the upper and lower seal members to interlock. In another embodiment, a slider has an intermediate lateral member connected on one side the slider top, and connected on the other side to the slider bottom. A breakaway sealing device is also provided, allowing a person to break the closed seal. A beginning stop block is also provided that includes a means for securing the upper seal member.
