Dennoch wird das I-Blech (7) beim Ausstanzen der Wickelfenster (4, 5) gewonnen, die in zumindest zwei Stanzschritten hergestellt werden. Die äußere Kontur des Magnetkreises wird im Wesentlichen durch das E-Blech (6) festgelegt. Dieses weist zumindest im Bereich seines Rückenabschnitts Eckenradien sowie einen Ausschnitt (19) auf, der ebenfalls mit gerundeten Kanten versehen ist. Der derart ausgebildete E/I-Schnitt zeichnet sich durch eine gleichmäßige magnetische Materialausnutzung und auch bei hoher Aussteuerung durch ein geringes Streufeld aus. Außerdem weist er bei gegebener Leistung ein sehr geringes.Bauvolumen und ein geringes Gewicht auf. Nicht benötigte Materialabschnitte werden im Stanzprozess entfernt und können recycelt werden. Das E-Blech (6) und das I-Blech (7) können sowohl im Stanzverfahren als auch in anderen Trennverfahren von einem Blechstreifen separiert werden.
