    • Methods and systems are provided for presenting forecast information pertaining to a planned route of travel, such as a flight plan. One exemplary method involves obtaining a plurality of forecast data sets associated with a plurality of different forecast time periods and subdividing a route into a plurality of forecast regions encompassing respective portions of the route based on the times associated with the navigational reference points defining the route. Each forecast region of the plurality of forecast regions is associated with a respective forecast time period. For each forecast region, a graphical representation of a subset of the forecast data set associated with that forecast region's associated forecast time period that corresponds to the geographic area of that forecast region is displayed on a display device concurrently to displaying a graphical representation of the route.

    • Method for detecting frost conditions at a monitoring site, such as a wind turbine location, and a frost condition detection system, with a sensor module (2) for determining a plurality of weather parameters, and a processing unit (3) connected to the sensor module. The frost condition detection system further comprising a camera (4) for providing local visual monitoring.
      The method entails determining a plurality of weather parameters locally at the monitoring site, the plurality of weather parameters comprising at least air temperature, relative humidity and dew-point temperature, determining critical threshold values of each of the weather parameters for one or more possible phases of frost conditions, sending a warning message comprising an indication of the determined phase of possible frost conditions, and allowing remote visual monitoring.

    • An apparatus for monitoring environmental conditions that processes information (14) to create and display (22) information concerning changes in the status (68) of environmental conditions. The apparatus comprises a means (16) of transforming measured values of more than one parameter of the condition using a function dependent on at least one of the baseline and critical values of the conditions. In a preferred form, the function is a non-linear transformation function (54). The apparatus further includes mapping values for mapping the function to a sequence of reference values and generating a deviation indicator for each parameter. The deviation indicators are then analyzed to generate and display (22) information concerning the changed status of the environmental (i.e. meteorological or geological) conditions.
