    • A height-adjustable shelf-supporting system (16) for an appliance (14) includes an appliance (14) having walls (18) that define an interior cavity (12). A shelf (22) is selectively disposed within the cavity (12) and includes a lighting fixture (24). A shelf support system in communication with the electrical system (20) includes at least one rotatable body operable between a plurality of support positions (26), the at least one rotatable body removably receiving and supporting the shelf (22), wherein each of the support positions (26) of the rotatable body corresponds to a different shelf height (28). The removable engagement between the shelf (22) and the rotatable body in any of the plurality of support positions (26) places the lighting fixture (24) in communication with the electrical system (20).

    • A refrigerator with shelf lighting is provided that may include a refrigerator main body (110) having a storage room (115), at least one shelf (140) provided inside of the storage room, a light source (160) provided at a rear end of the shelf, a power supply rail (240) provided at a rear of the storage room, the power supply rail supplying power to the light source, and a light guide plate (210) provided at the at least one shelf. The light guide plate may guide light of the light source to a front of the shelf. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce a length of an electric wire connecting the light source to the power supply rail and prevent the occurrence of glare caused by direct lighting.
