    • In a window regulator which moves a slider base, slidable along a guide rail, via a pair of wires, the slider base includes: a guide portion which is fitted to the guide rail to be movable in the longitudinal direction thereof; first and second wire engaging portions with which ends of the wires are engaged, respectively; and first and second force application portions which receive a force in a moving direction of the slider base from the wires, and the guide portion is positioned in at least one of the areas between the first force application portion and the first wire engaging portion and between the second force application portion and the second wire engaging portion in the widthwise direction of the guide rail. This makes it possible to obtain a window regulator which is superior in smoothness of operation and operating efficiency of the slider base.

    • Achieved are a window regulator manufacturing method and a tension applying method for a drive wire which enable, in a series of manufacturing steps, tension to be placed on (tension to be applied to) a drive wire with excellent efficiency.
      The method includes a step of fixing the other end of the drive wire to the drive drum; a step of temporarily placing one end of the drive wire in a temporary placement portion provided on the drum housing; and a step of applying tension to the drive wire by moving the one end of the drive wire to an engaging portion provided on the drive drum after canceling the placed state of the one end of the drive wire in the temporary placement portion by pulling a portion of the drive wire on the one end side thereof by winding a portion of the drive wire on the other end side thereof by the drive drum with the one end of the drive wire placed in the temporary placement portion.

    • The present invention provides a slide rail device for a vehicle in which a lock release lever can be rotatably supported by an upper rail with a simple structure and with a small number of components even though a locking mechanism and the lock release lever are installed in an internal space of the upper rail.
      The slide rail device includes a lock release lever 47 which switches a locking mechanism between a slide restriction state and a slide restriction release state by rotating in the vertical direction and includes a rail-incorporated portion 47a positioned between an upper rail 35 and a bottom wall 22 of a lower rail 21, a rotational contact portion 50 which is formed on an upper surface of the rail-incorporated portion and contacts a ceiling plane of said upper rail, and a biaser 63 which is installed in the rail-incorporated portion and the upper rail and biases the rotational contact portion toward the roof surface.
