    • A method for producing a compression molded fiber reinforced plastics panel (10) comprising a plate (100) having integrally molded reinforcing ribs (202, 206, 210, 220) on one of its surfaces which method comprises:

      A. providing a mold with heated first and second mold members shaped to conform to the desired configuration for said panel;
      B. introducing plastics molding compound between said members, said molding compound comprising a plurality of superimposed layers (1-4) each containing plastics molding composition of substantially equal paste viscosity in the range of 20-30 million centipoise at 25°C, a first part of said layers comprising a thermosetting resin and relatively short fibers and the other part of said layers comprising thermosetting resin and relatively long chopped fibers, the weight ratio of said first to said other parts being not higher than about 1:2; the weight ratio of said relatively short to said relatively long chopped fibers being not higher than about 1:2; and the ratio of average fiber length of relatively long to said relatively short fibers being at least 3:1;
      C. closing said mold members upon said molding compound at a pressure in a first pressure range sufficient to cause flow of said molding compound between said mold members;
      D. maintaining said pressure in the first pressure range for a period of at least 15 seconds;
      E. reducing the pressure to a pressure in a second pressure range and permitting said molding compound to cure at least substantially at a pressure in said second pressure range;
      F. parting said mold members; and
      G. removing said panel from between said mold members.

      II. about 60-500 parts by weight of finely divided particulate comprising:

      (A) silica particulate at a weight ratio to the polysiloxane of 1. of between about 0.3 to 2.5:1 wherein the silica particulate comprises:

      1. ground silica having an average particle diameter between about 0.1 and 15 microns; and
      2. fumed silica having an average particle diameter between about 0.005 and 0.015 microns;

      (B) thermally conductive powder at a weight ratio to the polysiloxane of I. of between about 0.3 to 2.5:1;
      III. a viscosity modifier comprising a silicone oil having a viscosity between about 1000-1,000,000 centistokes at 25°C at a weight ratio to the particulate of II of between about 1:20-1:4 oil to particulate;

    • An air/fuel ratio regulator for control of the movement of a fuel flow control lever on a fuel injection pump comprises a lever (54) connected to the pump control lever and moved by an aneroid (58) to change the fuel flow as a function of engine manifold vacuum changes to maintain a constant air fuel ratio to the mixture charge. A fuel enrichment lever (60) moves to modify the movement of the lever (54) to compensate for changes in intake manifold gas temperature as sensed by a coil thermostat (114), to maintain the constant air/fuel ratio. A fuel enrichment shaft (120) having a piston (128) is connected to the lever (60) and to a number of spaced, interconnected but relatively movable pistons (132, 134 and 136) that are adjustable to change the position of the enrichment lever (60) and therefore the air / fuel ratio as a function of exhaust gas recirculation back into the engine, and operating the engine at cruising conditons for an extended period, or operating the engine at idle speed, all with leaner air/fuel ratios. An infinte number of different air/fuel ratios can be established.
