    • Disclosed are a pressure heating method and a pressure heating apparatus (1) which can prevent deformation of articles or deterioration of the quality of the articles due to supply of excessive pressure and heat. After performing pressurizing and heating processing of articles by supplying steam to a pressure vessel (2), the supply of steam is stopped and air is supplied to the pressure vessel to keep the internal pressure of the pressure vessel within the range not exceeding the maximum value of the internal pressure at the time of pressurizing and heating. A cooling water spray device (46,47) on a circulation pipe is operated along with a turbo blower (11) so as to condense it for gradual removal. After completing the removal of the steam, the articles are cooled by the operation of the cooling water jet unit (24,25,23). By avoiding an abrupt decrease in the pressure inside the pressure vessel through preventing an instant condensation of the whole steam, an excessive pre-load becomes unnecessary at the final stage of sterilization.

    • A method, an apparatus and a plant for sterilization and/or heat treatment of products in particle form, for example bone meal, said product being introduced in batches into a pressure vessel which lies substantially horizontal, in that said pressure vessel is arranged to rotate and is provided on the inside with a built-in helical vane arrangement along the inner wall/jacket of the pressure vessel. The pressure vessel (5) is closed and evacuated of air and heated, said heating being effected by supplying steam to the vessel's jacket (4) and also possibly by the supply of steam under pressure to the inside of the vessel. The heating and pressure treatment is effected for a given period of time, in that the process parameters are a function of the product to be treated. The pressure vessel is made to rotate, said rotation giving rise to a mixing/movement of the particle-formed product and, as a consequence of the inner vane arrangement, the movement of the product from the one end of the vessel to the other. The process vessel is then relieved of pressure, after which the heat treated/sterilized product is emptied from the process vessel and the batch process starts from the beginning. There is hereby achieved an apparatus and a method with a continuous and uniform mixing and sterilization of the product with optimum utilization of the vessel's capacity, while at the same time there is little risk of defects arising in the apparatus and during the process itself.

    • Um ein schonendes Entkeimen von mehligen, pulvrigen, körnigen, blattartigen, stengligen oder wurzligen Substanzen und eine hohe Gleichmässigkeit im Verteilen des entkeimenden Mediums zu erreichen, wird erfindungsgemäss das Produkt einerseits schichtweise in einem auf- und verschliessbaren autoklav-artigen Behälter (1) und andererseits folgenden Verfahrensschritten sterilisiert:

      Einführen des Produktes in den Behälter (1) und Schliessen dieses Behälters,
      Erzeugen eines Unterdruckes im Behälter mittels einer Vakuumpumpe (30),
      Beibehalten des Unterdruckes und Einlassen eines Dampfstromes,
      Entspannen des Dampfdruckes und erneutes Erzeugen eines Vakuums zwecks Kühlung des Produktes.

      Dabei wird im weiteren erfindungsgemäss das Produkt insbesondere von einem Woll- oder Baumwollgewebe getragen und von einem gleichen Gewebe abgedeckt. Der für das Sterilisieren notwendige Dampf muss dann erfindungsgemäss durch die Gewebe treten, um das Produkt zu erreichen, mit dem Vorteil, dass allfälliges Dampfkondensat vom Gewebe aufgenommen wird und dadurch verhindert wird, dass Kondensattropfen zusammen mit dem Produkt unerwünschte Klumpen oder Klümpchen bilden.
