    • A microwave oscillator includes a transistor (1) for oscillation, an insulating substrate (2) on which the transistor is mounted, a first strip conductor (3) which is attached to the insulating substrate and which has one end connected to the output terminal of the transistor, and a second strip conductor (4) which is attached to the insulating substrate and which has one end connected to input terminal of the transistor. The microwave oscillator further includes a TE01-mode dielectric resonator (16) which couples with the first strip conductor and the second strip conductor, and a varactor diode (9). The varactor diode has one end connected to the other end of the first strip conductor or the other end of the second strip conductor, and the other end is RF-grounded, such that the capacitance of the varactor diode can be changed.

    • An oscillator includes an oscillation circuit unit (10) and an amplification circuit unit (20) of the common-base type. The oscillation circuit unit includes an oscillation transistor (11) and a resonance circuit (12), the collector of the oscillation transistor being grounded via a first capacitor (13). The amplification circuit unit includes an amplification transistor (21), the emitter thereof being directly connected to the collector of the oscillation transistor and the base thereof being grounded via a second capacitor (28). The resonance circuit is connected between the base of the oscillation transistor and the ground. An oscillation signal output from the collector of the oscillation transistor is input to the emitter of the amplification transistor while partially being bypassed to the ground via a first capacitor. A negative feedback is provided to the amplification transistor in association with the second capacitor.

    • The oscillating apparatus of the invention comprises a first oscillator (1) for outputting an oscillation signal of the first frequency band, a second oscillator (2) for outputting an oscillation signal of the second frequency band which is higher than the first frequency band and a grounded-emitter type amplifier (3) including an amplifying transistor to amplify the oscillation signal of the first frequency band or the oscillation signal of the second frequency band. In this structure, an emitter bias resistor (3c) is connected between the emitter of the amplifying transistor and the ground and both first series resonance means (3d) which resonates in almost the first frequency band and second series resonance means (3e) which resonates in almost second frequency band are connected between the emitter and ground. Thereby, the number of parts can be reduced through simplified structure of amplifier and amplification degree may be increased within two oscillation frequency bands without changing the amplifying characteristic.
