    • A terminal temporary holding structure (E) includes: winding terminals (6) each including a winding-side spot-welded portion (6b) having a flat plate shape; a terminal holding base (7) that holds the winding terminals (6); and cable terminals (10) each including a cable-side spot-welded portion (13) having a flat plate shape and respectively connected with external cables (4). The cable terminals (10) are temporarily held by the terminal holding base (7) in such a manner that the winding-side spot-welded portion (6b) and the cable-side spot-welded portion (13) are opposed to each other, so as to weld the cable-side spot-welded portion (13) of each cable terminal (10) to the winding-side spot-welded portion (6b) of each winding terminal (6). The cable terminals (10) are temporarily held by the terminal holding base (7) at at least two locations that sandwich the cable-side spot-welded portion (13).

    • A cooling structure for a brushless motor (1), which includes a stator, a rotor, and a motor shaft arranged integrally with the rotor. The stator include a stator core including an inner circumferential surface, a cylindrical portion including first and second end surfaces adjacent to the inner circumferential surface, and teeth projecting from the inner circumferential surface. An insulator covers the inner circumferential surface, the first and second end surfaces, and the teeth. A coil is wound around each tooth that is covered by the insulator. The cooling structure includes a cooling fan (7) coupled to one end of the motor shaft and arranged closer to the second end surface than the first end surface. At least one ventilation recess (50) is arranged between two adjacent ones of the teeth in the circumferential direction in a portion of the insulator that covers the first end surface.
