摘要： An electrical cable (800) includes a cable jacket (802) defining a central longitudinal axis and a plurality of twisted pairs of insulated conductors (208, 210, 212, 214) oriented longitudinally within the cable jacket. Each of the twisted pairs of insulated conductors has a width. A filler element (804) is disposed in the cable jacket and is located adjacent to at least one of the twisted pairs of insulated conductors. The filler element may have a width that is substantially larger than the width of each the twisted pairs of insulated conductors. The filler element has a central axis laterally offset from the central longitudinal axis of the cable jacket. The filler element reduces alien crosstalk from an adjacent cable. A separator (840) may be disposed in said cable jacket between the twisted pairs of insulated conductors to reduce crosstalk between the twisted pairs of insulated conductors.

摘要： A quad or dual differential pair cable for bi-directional high speed differential signal transmission has a first differential pair of conductors and a second differential pair of conductors. The conductors extend in substantially parallel relation to one another and are electrically insulated from each other by an insulating dielectric. The dielectric and the conductors are surrounded by a conductive metal shield. The dielectric insulates the conductors both from each other and from the shield and is sufficiently crush resistant to maintain the conductors in substantially parallel relation to one another over the length of the cable. The shield may be covered with an optional jacket. Each wire of a differential pair of wires are oriented 180 degrees apart from one another. The distance between any one of the conductors and the shield is equal to or greater than the distance between that conductor and a center axis of the cable.

摘要： A balanced mode transmission system (30) for use in a local area network includes at least one twisted pair of insulated metallic conductors (34-35) which at its end is connected through a transformer to a transmitting computer and to a receiving computer (48). Each pair adjacent to the transmitting end and optionally to the receiving end is provided with a longitudinal choke (56,57). Also, a longitudinally extending metallic wire (60) is included in the system and is connected possibly through a resistor to ground at each end. The combination of the longitudinal choke at least adjacent to the transmitting end and the longitudinally extending metallic wire is superbly effective in suppressing electromagnetic interference notwithstanding the absence of shielding.

The sheath (3) includes a polyolefin-based polymer and a flame retardant, and a content of the flame retardant in the sheath (3) is greater than or equal to 150 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin-based polymer.
