an implantable neurostimulator (12) comprising a pulse generator configured to deliver electrical therapeutic stimulation tuned to restore autonomic balance through continuously-cycling, intermittent and periodic electrical pulses delivered in a manner that results in creation and propagation (in both afferent and efferent directions) of action potentials within neuronal fibers comprising a cervical vagus nerve (15, 16, 61) of a patient (10) in continuous alternating cycles of stimuli application and stimuli inhibition (90) and configured to deliver the electrical therapeutic stimulation according to stored stimulation parameters comprising the pulse width falling within the range of 100 to 250 µsec, the output current (96) falling within the range of 0.02 to 50 mA, and the signal frequency (93) at least being 10 Hz;
a cervical vagus nerve stimulation therapy lead (13) electrically coupled to the pulse generator and terminated by a at least one electrode through which the therapeutic electrical stimulation is delivered to the patient's cervical vagus nerve (15, 16, 61).

摘要： The present disclosure relates generally to using detected bladder events for the diagnosis of urinary incontinence or the treatment of lower urinary tract dysfunction. A system includes a sensing device comprising a pressure sensor to directly detect a pressure within a bladder. The sensing device is adapted to be located within the bladder. The system also includes a signal processing device to: receive a signal indicating the detected pressure within the bladder; detect a bladder event based the detected pressure within the signal; and characterize the bladder event as a bladder contraction event or a non-contraction event. The characterization of the bladder event can be used in the diagnosis of urinary incontinence or the treatment of lower urinary tract dysfunction.

Between titration sessions one or more parameters, such as, for example, an acclimation interval, may be adjusted based on the patient's response to the stimulation. This personalized titration process can minimize the amount of time required to complete titration so as to begin delivery of the stimulation at therapeutically desirable levels.

摘要： Various methods and apparatus for treating a condition associated with impaired glucose regulation in a subject comprising in one embodiment, applying a neural conduction block to a target nerve at a blocking site with the neural conduction block selected to at least partially block nerve pulses. In another embodiment, combinations of down-regulating and or up-regulating with or without pharmaceutical agents are used to treat impaired glucose regulation. In other embodiments, up-regulation or down-regulation of various nerves, such as the vagus and its branches, and the splanchnic is used to modify the production of GLP-1 and GIP, thereby controlling glucose levels. In yet further embodiments, combinations of down-regulating and or up-regulating with or without pharmaceutical agents are used to modify the production of GLP-1 and GIP, to treat impaired glucose regulation.
