摘要： The disclosure provides examples of an open architecture anchor for securing soft tissue to bone, for example, to repair a torn rotor cuff. The anchor includes a helical screw thread having a base and two sidewalls that are non-linear. The non-linear sidewalls extend from opposing ends of the base and meet at a peak. The non-linear sidewalls are circumscribed within a triangle defined by the peak and ends of the base. Compared to the standard triangle profile, the helical screw thread profile has a smaller cross-sectional surface area and, consequently, removes less bone. The helical screw thread having the reduced cross-sectional area preserves bone stock and enhances the holding strength of the anchor in bone.

摘要： A chordal replacement device comprising: a proximal anchor (3910), a distal anchor (3915) extending and affixed to a distal attachment site in a ventricle; and a flexible tether (3920) coupled to and tensioned between the proximal and distal anchors, wherein the proximal anchor may comprise a flexible crimp clip having one or more barbs that embed into and affix to a portion of a leaflet (LF) or a flexible patch and a leaflet attachment device, wherein the flexible patch is affixed to an upper surface of a portion of a flailing leaflet with the leaflet attachment device. The proximal anchor may also comprise a mesh stent deployable within an atrium, wherein the mesh stent is coupled to a flexible rod that extends through a valve commissure into the ventricle and wherein a distal end of a flexible rod couples to a distal anchor and provides consistent tension on the tether during a heart cycle.

摘要： A coupling system includes an applicator tool and an attachment ring mounted on the applicator tool. Clips are contained within the applicator tool and are deployed through the attachment ring in order to anchor the attachment ring to biological tissue. When deployed, tips of the clips follow a curved trajectory through an annular cuff of the attachment ring and through the underlying tissue. The tips loop back out of the tissue and to a location where they are later trapped or clamped by the attachment ring. While the tips are trapped or clamped, the applicator tool cinches the clips by pulling rear segments of the clips. Thereafter, the applicator tool disconnects from the attachment ring which remains anchored to the tissue and serves as a coupling for a cannula. The cannula can have movable lock members that secure it to the attachment ring.

The devices can include an expandable, fluid-tight bladder configured to be deployed between valve leaflets of the heart valve.
