摘要： A hybrid biological membrane reactor for treating industrial and urban waste waters with organic, nitrogenous matter, combining the presence of microorganisms in suspension and in a biofilm. It is provided with three chambers: an anoxic chamber (1); an air-lift type aerobic chamber (2), and a filtration chamber (3). The microbial sludge in suspension is maintained in the three chambers, whereas a granular and coarse plastic support is confined in the aerobic chamber (2), on which support a biofilm grows which has a high fraction of nitrifying microorganisms and is fluidized by means of the application of an air current distributed through diffusers in the chamber. The filtration chamber (3) incorporates hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane modules used for separating the treated water from the biological sludge, recirculating the sludge to the anoxic chamber for the purpose of maintaining a suitable microbial concentration.

摘要： The invention relates to an anti- Vibrio anguillarum vaccine (GAVA-3) for the prevention of vibriosis in the turbot and Salmonidae fish and the process for producing such vaccine. The vaccine is comprised of three bacterial strains of Vibrio angillarum isolated from a turbot: strain CECT 5031 (serotype 01), strain CECT 5032 (serotype 02, sub-group 02α) and CECT 5033 (serotype 02, sub-group 02β), and is also comprised of their extracellular products. Both the strains and the extracellular products are inactivated with formol. The vaccine applies to the field of aquaculture.

摘要： The invention lies in the field of delivery of nucleic acids into a cell. In particular, disclosed herein is a nucleic acid that is polyplexed with a polymeric scaffold, which scaffold is covalently bound to an endosomal escape-enhancing saponin by a linker configured to release the saponin from the scaffold under conditions present in an endosome. Surprisingly, the presence of the saponin and the linker does not interfere with or affect the ability of the polymeric scaffold to form or maintain the polyplex in the presence of the nucleic acid. Furthermore, such saponin-containing polyplexes not only enhance the cytosolic delivery of the nucleic acid into cells but also do not negatively impact the viability of these cells. The disclosed herein compositions and methods may further be cell-targeted by conjugation to cell- and/or tissue-specific ligands, and, advantageously, exploited in the treatment of various diseases and/or conditions by systemic delivery.

摘要： The present invention relates to a population of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) for use in the treatment of obesity in a subject in need thereof, wherein the sEVs comprise at least one polynucleotide encoding a dominant negative AMP-activated protein kinase alpha 1 (AMPKα1-DN) mutant protein operably linked and under the control of a steroidogenic factor 1 (SF1) promoter, wherein the sEVs are engineered to transiently express in their outer membrane at least one fusion protein comprising the neurotrophic rabies virus (RVG) peptide fused to lysosome-associated membrane protein 2b. Said population is highly safe and effective, as the sEVs, when administered systematically, are capable of exert their effect in the SF1 expressing neurons located in the ventromedial nucleus of the hypothalamus.
