    • A far-field detection apparatus (100) for measuring a far-field signature of a seismic source (200) includes a main tow cable (100), a depth control device (120), sensor lines (130, 140), at least two deflectors (150, 160) and seismic sensors (136, 146). The depth control device is attached to the main tow cable. Each of the sensor lines has a first end attached to the main tow cable. Each of the deflectors is attached to a second end of the sensor lines, respectively. The deflectors are configured to generate forces pulling the sensor lines away from the main tow cable. The seismic sensors are attached between the first end and the second end of each of the sensor lines. The seismic sensors are configured to measure seismic waves generated by the seismic source.

    • An activation module (400) to be used in a seismic equipment recovery device. The activation module includes a processor (402); a pressure transducer (404) configured to measure a pressure of the ambient and provide the measured pressure to the processor (402); a memory (440) connected to the processor (402) and configured to store information related to a pressure or depth threshold; and a communication unit (450) connected to the memory (440) and configured to exchange information with an external device (310). The processor (402) is configured to send a deployment instruction to an inflation mechanism (428) to inflate a flotation bag (430) based on the measured pressure and the stored information.

    • A real time deflector monitoring system related to a deflector used in a seismic survey system is provided. The system includes a bridle block (120) configured to connect the deflector (110) to a first rope (122,124). The system further includes sensors (62,64,65,66,72,74) embedded in the bridle block and configured to measure strength and direction of a tension in at least one of (A) the first rope and/or (B) one of rig ropes (115a,116a,117a,115b,116b,117b) connecting the deflector to the bridle block. The system also includes a motion detector (118,119) configured to acquire information related to deflector's motion.
