    • A sensor for sensing buoyancy force within a liquid mixture (4) stored within a storage tank (2) and an interlock employing the sensor (10) to prevent a respirable cryogenic mixture from being dispensed from the storage tank (2) with an unsafe oxygen content. The sensor (10) has a float (12) adapted to be submerged in the liquid mixture (4), thereby to exert a buoyancy force referable to the density. The buoyancy force is sensed by a load cell(26) connected to an elongate base element (18) cantilevered from the outlet (3) of the tank (2) by a bracket (38). The mounting of such sensor (10) ensures that the buoyancy force and therefore, the density of the liquid as dispensed will be measured as opposed to liquid density at some other location of the tank (2). Such sensor (10) can serve in an interlock in which a controller (32) responsive to the load cell (26) and a temperature sensor (34), also located within the outlet (3), controls a valve (36) to close the outlet (3) when the mixture has an unsafe oxygen level.

    • A method and system for fumigating a region with a non-flammable gaseous mixture including phosphine. A sensor (74a-c) senses the concentration of phosphine for atmosphere of the region (44a-c) and a flow controller (38) controls flow to the region (44a-c) in response to the sensed concentration. A recycling passage (42) removes a portion of the atmosphere from the region and returns the atmosphere to create a recycle flow through the region. In addition, a gas mixing system (20) is provided to supply the non flammable mixture by mixing phosphine from a phosphine source (24) and an inert substance from an inert substance source (22).
