摘要： Present invention relates to a novel process for upgrading a residual hydrocarbon oil feedstock having a significant amount of Conradson Carbon Residue (concarbon), metals, especially vanadium and nickel, asphaltenes, sulfur impurities and nitrogen to a lighter more valuable hydrocarbon products by reducing or minimizing coke formation and by injecting fine droplets of oil soluble organo-metallic compounds at multiple elevations of the riser with varying dosing rates.

摘要： A fluid coking unit for converting a heavy oil feed to lower boiling products by thermal has a centrally-apertured annular baffle at the top of the stripping zone below the coking zone to inhibit recirculation of solid particles from the stripping zone to the coking zone. By inhibiting recirculation of the particles from the stripping zone to the coking zone, the temperatures of the two zones are effectively decoupled, enabling the coking zone to be run at a lower temperature than the stripping zone to increase the yield of liquid products.

摘要： A method for forming catalytically treated pyrolytic vapor product from pyrolyzable material, the method comprising burning fuel in a fluidized bed boiler, thereby heating some particulate material; transferring at least some of the heated particulate material or some other heated particulate material to a pyrolysis reactor to pyrolyze some pyrolyzable material in the pyrolysis reactor; and conveying at least some pyrolytic vapor through a catalyst bed comprising catalyst material; and conveying at least part of the formed side products upstream back to the process; thereby producing the catalytically treated pyrolytic vapor product in an resource efficient manner. In addition, a system configured to produce catalytically treated pyrolytic vapor product from pyrolyzable material. The system comprises a fluidized bed boiler; a pyrolysis reactor; a catalytic reactor; means for conveying some heated particulate material to the pyrolysis reactor; a pipeline for conveying at least some pyrolytic vapor from the pyrolysis reactor into the catalytic reactor and means for conveying at least part of the formed side products upstream back to the process for recovering heat and chemical energy bound to the side products.

摘要： A fluidized bed coking reactor apparatus comprises a reaction vessel; a temperature sensor inside the reaction vessel for measuring a reactor temperature, a solids feed mechanism for feeding solid particles into the reactor vessel at a mass flow rate, a feed material feed mechanism for feeding feed material into the reactor at an operating feed rate; and a supervisory controller programmed to determine an upper feed material feed rate of the reactor when operating at the reactor temperature and receiving solid particles at the mass flow rate. The upper feed material feed rate is defined as a feed rate of feed material deposited onto a selected fraction of a fluidized bed of solid particles that causes defluidization in the reactor when the reactor is operating under conditions having a selected degree of backmixing in the fluidized bed, wherein the degree of backmixing is modeled as a selected number of reactors arranged in series and each operating under continuous well-mixed conditions, with the selected number of reactors being an integer between one and infinity.

摘要： A method of producing a vacuum gas oil (VGO), consisting of:
(I) upgrading bitumen by a method comprising:
(i) providing a particulate heat carrier into an upflow reactor;
(ii) introducing bitumen into the upflow reactor at at least one location above that of the particulate heat carrier so that a loading ratio of the particulate heat carrier to bitumen is from about 10:1 to about 200:1, wherein the upflow reactor is run at a temperature of from about 300°C to about 700°C;
(iii) allowing bitumen to interact with the heat carrier with a residence time of less than about 5 seconds, to produce a product stream;
(iv) separating the product stream from the particulate heat carrier;
(v) regenerating the particulate heat carrier; and
(vi)collecting a gaseous and liquid product from the product stream, and

(II) isolating the VGO from the liquid product.
