    • Mechanical motor vehicle vacuum pump (10) having a pump rotor (12), a coupling element (14) which can be driven mechanically by an internal combustion engine (100), and a switchable positively locking clutch arrangement (30) for locking the coupling element (14) fixedly to the pump rotor (12) so as to rotate with it or for releasing said coupling element (14) from said pump rotor (12). The clutch arrangement (30) has: a bolt holder (32) which is connected fixedly to the pump rotor (12) or the coupling element (14) so as to rotate with it with at least one radial bolt guide (34) and a bolt body (36) which can be displaced in the bolt guide (34), an axially displaceable guide body (50) which is assigned to the bolt holder (32) with a guide surface (52) which is inclined with respect to the axial and by way of which the bolt body (36) is forced radially into a locking position, and a catch body (40) which is connected fixedly to the coupling element (14) or the pump rotor (12) so as to rotate with it with at least one rotational catch depression (42), into which the bolt body (36) engages in the locking position thereof.

    • Motor vehicle assembly arrangement (8) consisting of an internal combustion engine (100), a switchable mechanical vacuum pump (10) and a pneumatic brake booster (20). The vacuum pump (10) has: a displacing pump rotor (12), a coupling element (14) which is driven mechanically by the internal combustion engine (100), and a hydraulic control connector (60) and a coupling arrangement (30) which can be switched hydraulically via the control connector (60) in order to lock the coupling element (14) fixedly to the pump rotor (12) so as to rotate with it or to release said coupling element (14) from said pump rotor (12). The brake booster (20) has a vacuum chamber (22) which is connected to a suction connector (96) of the vacuum pump (10) via a vacuum line (21). A hydraulic pump (112) is provided for pumping a hydraulic fluid at a control pressure P1. Furthermore, a switchable control valve (70) is provided which, in the unlocking state thereof, switches the control pressure P1 of the hydraulic fluid through to the control connector (60) for unlocking purposes. The control valve (70) has a pneumatic actuator (24) which is loaded with the pressure P of the vacuum chamber (22) and which switches the control pressure P1 through to the control connector (60) if the pressure P in the vacuum chamber (22) lies above a switching pressure PS, with the result that the control valve (70) is switched into the unlocking state thereof.
