    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an openable angle of a cap larger in a structure of a lighter so as to prevent the cap from coming close to a flame, enable the cap to be opened without directly operating it, and lock it in a closed state. SOLUTION: The lighter has a fuel tank 2, a fuel burning member 6, an igniting means 10 which has a file wheel 13 both sides of which are fixed with lateral wheels 14 and in which a flint 11 is brought into pressure contact with the file wheel 13 from below, a support portion 51 for supporting a rotary shaft 15, and an openable cap 7. The cap 7 is supported in a freely flapping state by a support shaft 75 at a portion opposite to the file wheel 13, is urged in its opening direction by means of a spring 76, and has, at the end thereof on the file wheel side, a stopper 74 capable of being locked to the rotary shaft 15. The rotary shaft 15 is supported in such a manner as to be movable between a locking position and an unlocking position according to its abutment against the stopper 74. When the cap 7 is closed, the stopper 74 is locked to the rotary shaft 15, so that the cap 7 is kept in a closed state, and in conjunction with the operation of the lateral wheels 14, the rotary shaft 15 is moved to the unlocking position, whereby the locking of the rotary shaft 15 to the stopper 74 is released to open the cap 7.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause an ignition member to make access to a combustion wick as interference with a closing cap due to variation of the shape of a combustion part is avoided by a method wherein the combustion part of the combustion wick is formed in a shape where the size of a tip part is decreased. SOLUTION: A combustion part 61 of a combustion wick 6 is formed of glass fibers, for example, glass fibers are bundled, a tip part 61a thereof is molten and bound and formed in the pointed tip-form state of a writing brush. In the combustion wick 6, a fuel consumption amount when ignition is effected, the shape of flame, and the length of flame are set according to the size, the number of glass fibers, and the length of the glass fibers of the combustion part 61. As noted above, by forming that the tip part 61a of the combustion part 61 of a combustion wick 6 is formed in a fine state, the rotation radius of a circular arc wherein the tip of the combustion wick 6 and a wick holder 7 make no contact with a fulcrum (a pin) 17 of a closing cap 16 is decreased and therealongwith a distance between the fulcrum 17 of the closing cap 16 and the combustion wick 6 is shortened. Besides, there is no need for the inside diameter of the closing part of the closing cap 16 to be increased to a value higher than the outside diameter of the wick holder 7.

    • Bei einem Feuerzeug zum Entzünden von Öl für kippende Benutzung zum Abwerfen brennender Tropfen ist der die Brennflüssigkeit enthaltende Kunststoff-Behälter (10) mit Hilfe eines einzigen, die Zündeinrichtung aufnehmenden wärmefesten Spritzlings verschließber, der dessen Hals schützend umgreift. Eine nach oben in einen Muldenraum (14) erweiterte Mulde (13) ist in eine horizontale Bodenwandung (11i) des Spritzlings eingeformt und erstreckt sich in den Hals 10a hinein. Eine den Docht (15) aufnehmende Röhre (11d) ist an den Boden (11c) der Mulde (13) angeformt. Dadurch wird erreicht, daß bei verbesserten Voraussetzungen für eine rationelle Serienfertigung das Feuerzeug dank größerer Handlichkeit auch als stationäres Feuerzeug für konventionellen Gebrauch geeignet und trotzdem ein Kontakt der Brennflüssigkeit mit dem Kunststoff-Behälter zu vermeiden ist.
