摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce residual quantity of fuel while enhancing the efficiency by setting the height of inner cotton equal to or larger than the width or diameter of the bottom face and setting the part of largest holding quantity equal to or lower than the maximum holdable quantity corresponding to the material and filling density of the inner cotton depending on the holding quantity distribution of liquid fuel. SOLUTION: A lighter 1 has a tubular closed-end fuel tank 2 in which an inner cotton 3 of liquid absorbing fibers for holding liquid fuel through impregnation is placed and an upper cover 4 is secured to the upper part of the fuel tank 2. When the height of the inner cotton 3 composed of natural pulp, synthetic fibers or a mixture thereof is in the range of 25-60 mm, injection of liquid fuel is preferably set at 0.6 g/cm3 per unit volume for the entire volume of the inner cotton. When the height of the inner cotton 3 is in the range of 60-100 mm, injection of liquid fuel is preferably set at 0.5 g/cm3 or less per unit volume of the entire volume of the inner cotton.
