摘要： A television camera includes an imager (16, 18, 20) which forms a signal representative of the image during an integration interval. The integration interval is followed by a pull-down interval during which the integrated signal is transferred out of a photo-responsive region of the imager, which may be a solid state type. A shutter arrangement (42, 44) is provided which periodically prevents light from failing upon the photoresponsive region of the imager. The shutter arrangement is controllable (70, 72) for controlling the integration interval.

摘要： Atetevision camera apparatus(10) wherein bright objects are attenuated to fit within the dynamic range of the system while dim objects are not receives linearly polarized lightfrom an object scene (12), the light being passed by a beamsplitter (20) and focused on the output plane of a liquid crystal light valve (16) oriented such that, with no excitation from a cathode ray tube (22), all light is rotates 90° and focused on the input plane of a video sensor (28). The light is then converted to an electrical signal, which is amplified and used to excite the CRT. The resulting image is collected and focused onto the light valve, which rotates the polarization vector of each light increment to an extent proportional to the light intensity from the CRT. The overall effect is to selectively attenuate the image pattern focused on the sensor.

Separation may be effected by means of a dichroic mirror (2) reflecting light below 700 nm and transmitting light above 700 nm, with a reflecting mirror (3) to correct the reversal of the dichroic mirror (2).

摘要： A gradation correcting circuit which corrects the gradation of the luminance level of video signals. The gradation correcting circuit is provided with a picture judging circuit (108) which judges whether the picture is a front-light picture or back-light picture and judges the degree of the front- or back-light picture. In accordance with the judgement results, the degree of gradation correction performed by a gradation correcting circuit is determined. The gradation correcting circuit is also provided with an AGC circuit which maintains the luminance of video signals at a fixed level as a whole and suppresses the degree of correction when an AGC control signal fed to the AGC circuit is large or uses the degree of correction without suppression when the AGC signal is small.

摘要： A novel camera attachment converts a standard daylight camera into a day/night-vision video camera. The attachment device (80) has a threaded input and output to physically and optically interconnect an auto-iris lens (60) to a video camera (64). The attachment device (80) contains an image intensifier tube (61) and a fiber optic image conduit (67) either of which may be switched into the through optical path to receive and either amplify or simply conduct the light image to a relay lens (84). The relay lens (84) focuses the output image from either the image tube or the fiber optic image conduit (67) onto the optical input of the video camera. The switching of the image intensifier tube (61) or the fiber optic image conduit (67) is dependent upon the ambient light conditions of the camera so that if there is insufficient lighting for normal daytime viewing the image tube is activated and switched into the through optical path of the camera.
