    • A right angle connector for connecting conduit to a junction box having an opening therein. The connector includes a base and a cap. The base may include a tab for establishing a snap fit connection with the cap. According to another aspect of the invention, the base may include a plurality of spring members for resiliently retaining the conduit at approximately a right angle to the opening in the junction box. According to another aspect of the invention, the base may include a plurality of resiliently deformable elements configured to establish a snap fit connection with the opening in the junction box. The deformable elements may extend from an annular bottom portion of the base defining an opening through which wires in the conduit may pass to enter the junction box.

    • A compounded injection molded plastic grommet including a rigid core and a soft elastomeric overmold defining a body portion with a soft elastomeric tube surrounding a portion of the wiring harness and exposed rigid plastic attachment tabs both fore and aft of the grommet body. The grommet and tube are split to allow side entry of the wiring harness and undercuts are provided at the top and bottom of the grommet for secure attachment to an automotive body structure.     • An improved liquid-tight connector that simplifies and vastly reduces the time and effort in securing non-metallic or metallic conduit to panels, junction boxes, or similar devices. The connector does not require a nut to secure its leading end to a panel or a compression nut to secure its trailing end to a conduit as is typically required with conventional liquid-tight connectors. The need to tighten nuts by hand or with hand tools is therefore eliminated. The connector allows connection of conduit to panels without the need to disassemble a portion of the connector and then reassemble again as in many prior art devices. The connector allows an installer to create a liquid-tight connection between a conduit and a panel by simply pushing a conduit into the trailing end of the connector and pushing the leading end of the connector into an aperture in the panel. Liquid-tight seals are created between the conduit and the connector and between the connector and the panel. By proper selection of the material of construction, the connector may be designed for use with either metallic or non-metallic conduit. If desired, a snap locking ring may be removed from the leading end of the connector to allow it to be screwed into a threaded access hole, or to be connected to a smooth access hole in the panel with a lock nut, similar to a conventional fitting.

    • A grommet for installing a wire harness into a penetration hole provided on a car body panel of an automobile. The grommet includes a resin inner sleeve that is firmly stored in an enlarged tubular portion of a grommet main body made of an elastomer. The grommet main body includes the enlarged tubular portion at one end of a small diameter tubular portion through which electric wires can be inserted. A fixation locking hook protrudes from a peripheral wall of the inner sleeve and projects past an edge opening of the enlarged tubular portion. A movable locking hook is arranged on another side of the peripheral wall. The movable locking hook includes a movable piece that is located between two side grooves formed in the peripheral wall. A pair of rectifying ribs protrudes past the movable locking hook. Each rectifying rib has an edge portion that is formed at an acute angle and that is inclined towards an inside. The pair of rectifying ribs are insertable into the penetration hole after the fixation locking hook is inserted therein.

    • A sensor assembly for use with a separate control unit has a housing with a cradling bracket, a sensor, and a connection socket. The housing has a sensor face, sides, a cradling bracket and a lid. The sensor face defines a sensor opening and a flange connection surface. Sides extend from the sensor face and attach at adjacent edges to form an enclosure with a lid opening. The cradling bracket is within the enclosure. The lid is sized to fit the lid opening and adapted for releasable attachment to the enclosure. The sensor has a sensing element, a flange member, and electrical leads. The sensing element senses a parameter through the sensor opening. The flange member extends from the sensing element and is fixedly attached to the sensing element. The flange member attaches the sensor to the flange connection surface of the housing. Electrical leads extend from the sensing element and terminate in terminal ends. The connection socket is attached to the terminal ends of the electrical leads. The connection socket has openings for receiving wires from the control unit to electrically connect with the electrical leads of the sensor. The connection socket is sized to mate with and be cradled by the cradling bracket. The cradling bracket and the lid cooperate in a closed position to prevent the connection socket from moving during use.
