摘要： Described are label sheets of pressure sensitive labels which are useful for duplex printing applications. The labels are provided with ties to secure them in order to lessen the adverse effects of delamination and leakage of adhesive into the printer parts. They are particularly useful for avoiding these disadvantages during duplex printing which subjects the label sheet to additional manipulation and treatment, such as two heated toner fusion steps, in contrast to simplex printing. Also described are methods of duplex printing using such label sheets.

摘要： A label with booklet comprises a liner material and a label having an upper and lower surface located on the liner. The label is secured to the liner by an adhesive layer on its lower surface such that the label can be peeled off the liner with the adhesive remaining on the lower surface of the label. A booklet is affixed to the upper surface of the label and comprises a plurality of stacked pages having edges including a top page and a bottom page, each of the pages being coextensive with each other and of smaller dimensions than the label. The booklet further comprises a cover member entirely covering the top page and extending beyond at least two opposing edges of the top page, the cover member having an upper non-adhesive surface, and a lower surface having an adhesive thereon by means of which the lower surface of the cover member is permanently adhered to the upper surface of the top page. The booklet is completely removable from the label by removing at least a portion of the cover member.

When applied to a curved or non-planar surface, a gap between portion of the labels accommodates the wrapping of the label structure around the surface and avoids tearing, splitting, bunching and wrinkling in the respective upper and base labels. The label structure is formed by bending the labels around a forming surface, releasing one end of the upper label and repositioning it on the base label so that when removed from the bending operation and straightened out, the upper label is arched away from the base label. Apparatus and methods are disclosed.

摘要： The present invention relates to a self-adhesive label (1), designed to be adhered to and around a container by means of a self-adhesive layer (9′) on the back (9) of the label. This layer is protected up to the time of its use by the use of a release film having a smooth contact layer. The label is fastened to the substrate starting with one of its ends (2), which on its outer side (10) is provided with a release area (11), obtained by printing a layer thereon. The central portion (3) of the label is provided with a text or the like printed thereon. The layer has a larger length than the circumferential dimension of the container and will consequently with its other end (4) overlap said one end and be fastened to it by said self-adhesive layer. Said other end has sections (5, 6), which can be torn off and are separated from each other by perforations (7, 8), to be attached to an injection device or the like. According to the invention the release area is a layer, which is broken up or is the label material itself on the outer side of said primary area (2), broken up in order to form a substrate and fastening surface, which can vary as to size and has a variable/determinable retaining ability as regards said other label end. The applied layer, which constitutes the release area, is made of a screen print ink through screen or silk printing and constitutes at least one portion of the release area, produced at the same time as and made of the same substance as the patterning of the label for the rest.

The first portion may define either a card or alternatively a label, and is impregnated with a waterproofing polymerizable composition. The first portion is preferably resistant to water, and is receptive to inks. As such, user variable indicia may be applied anywhere on the sheet including the first portion. For applications requiring a label, an adhesive and liner ply may be applied to the back of the sheet. The liner ply includes a release coating in register with the first portion defining the label, such that, upon removing the label from the sheet, a substantial portion of the adhesive remains with the label.

摘要： A resealable label includes a leaflet having an upper surface and a base tab disposed adjacent the leaflet. The base tab includes a closure portion and a pull tab portion each having an upper surface and a lower surface. The closure portion and the pull tab portion are separated from one another by a cut line therebetween. A varnish coats the upper surface of the closure portion. The label further includes a laminate cover including a first laminate portion overlying the closure portion, a second laminate portion overlying the pull tab portion, and a third laminate portion overlying the leaflet. The label further includes a laminate adhesive including a first adhesive portion releasably and resealably securing the first laminate portion to the varnish on the upper surface of the closure portion, and a second adhesive portion securing the second laminate portion to the upper surface of the pull tab portion. A closure portion adhesive coats the lower surface of the closure portion. The lower surface of the pull tab is substantially free of adhesive.
