摘要： The invention relates to an ultrahigh contrast photographic material comprising a support bearing a silver halide emulsion layer, containing a combination of two or more hydrazide nucleating agents in the emulsion layer and/or a hydrophilic colloid layer, characterized in that the combination comprises a nucleating agent(s) of formulae (I) and/or (I) with a nucleator of formula (III), in which the nucleating agent of formula (I) comprises (a) two nicotinamide moieties, which may be the same or different, which are linked by a linking group, and (b) a hydrazide moiety linked to only one of those nicotinamide moieties; the nucleating agent of formula (II) comprises a dimeric molecule comprising two monomers linked by a linking group, each monomer of which (a) may be the same or different and (b) comprises a hydrazide moiety and a nicotinamide moiety; and the nucleating agent of formula (III) comprises an aryl sulfonamido aryl hydrazide. The combination of nucleating agents show less sensitivity to variation in the development conditions than do the individual nucleating types, leading to significant improvements in processing robustness with less change in image quality with processing and tolerance to a wider range of developer solutions.

摘要： A single-side coated silver halide photographic film material has been disclosed, said film material comprising a support, at least one light-sensitive emulsion layer and a substantially light-insensitive protective hydrophilic colloid layer farther away from said support than said emulsion layer, wherein said emulsion layer contains a silver halide emulsion rich in silver bromide with cubic crystals having an average numerical diameter in the range from 0.4 up to 0.8 &mgr;m, wherein at least 95 mole % of bromide ions are present, and wherein said hydrophilic colloid layer or another substantially light-insensitive hydrophilic colloid layer essentially comprises a hydrazide represented by the general formula (I) having a silver halide adsorbing group or a masked silver halide adsorbing group; besides a method for forming a diagnostic image comprising the steps of contacting said photographic film material with an intensifying screen, forming a film/screen assembly, and exposing said assembly to X-ray radiation with an energy lower than or equal to 70 kVp, and processing said film material during a time of 90 seconds or less in a processing cycle following the steps of developing, fixing, rinsing and drying, and wherein the developing proceeds in a radiographic developer composition essentially comprising a hydroquinone and a phenidone (a 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidine-1-one compound) as a developing agent and a heteroatomic nitro-indazol.

摘要： In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, a photographic element is described comprising a support bearing one or more hydrophilic colloid layers including at least one photographic silver halide emulsion layer, wherein sequestered silver ions are incorporated into at least one hydrophilic colloid layer in the form of a silver ion containing material which sequesters silver ions prior to photographic processing and releases silver ions upon exposure to photographic processing solutions. Method for preparing and processing such photographic element are also described. In accordance with particular embodiments of the invention, the silver ion containing material comprises a silver ion-exchanged zeolite material or an intercalation composition comprising a layered host material having silver ions inserted as guest ions between the layers of the host material. The invention provides novel photographic materials and a method of incorporating silver ions directly into a photographic imaging element with improved stability and keeping response. The incorporation of silver ion containing materials into a photographic element in accordance with the invention enables increased upper scale density without excessive build-up of fog in the system.
